Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in New London

I used to love Chili's for their chips , tacos, etc. My kids love it because you can get a drink, appetizer,and meal for 10 bucks, and mom says ok because I don't go broke trying to feed my children. The one thing that is my biggest pet peeve is the brown nasty looking avocado that they try to put on your sandwich. There is nothing worse and unappetizing. Covid and now lack of workers. I came in and so many open seats, but people had to wait to sit to eat because honestly there weren't enough workers. It's a very sad situation. We had to wait, and we did, but honestly, we don't know why we did because the food was terrible. My daughter didn't like her meal. It was very greasy and asked for a hamburger instead. If you look around the place is messy,lack of staff and tons of people waiting to eat. Honestly, it's not worth at all to eat out at all. I got home to eat a hamburger..not edible. I watched ten bucks for a meal that we just threw out. This is the story at almost every place recently. Stay home and eat. I'm a glutton for punishment. Try , try again. It makes my kids happy. Not bad this time, but I got a chuckle. I ordered a salad with a ranch. I told the lady about my allergies. I'm just about to put dressing on my salad when she says she just remembered that the dressing has some of my allergies in it. So, she brought me out a ranch but charged me for it. Smh. Figures but kudos for telling me...

Even though the food is good I don't like their customer service skills and attitude I had a situation with an door dash driver when you order online they are connected to door dash he disrespected me and never gave me my drink that I paid for he had a guy in the car with him so I am assuming he drunk my drink my straw was in my bag but he never handed me a drink when I confronted him about he said he never got handed one when I contacted the store they said had handed him my drink. They also said they would give me a coupon and the lady was so rude she cut me off when. I was talking trying to rush me off the phone she got irritated when I asked her to confirm my information and comes to show it was wrong. Then I waited the next day I called and spoke to another manager he was more nice on the phone but he said he would refund me and make sure he sends me a coupon it's been almost over a week now I still haven't received any coupons or refund it's the principal of the matter .. do you know how disappointing it is to place and order when your working long hours at work plus your five months pregnant and you don't have a drink?

Update this incident happened three weeks ago I reached out to chillis multiple times and spoke to a manager still no refund or coupon til this dayalso I did leave a comment on chillis website nothing. So I will probably never order online agaim..Or eat there due to...

I have been going to chillis in new London for almost 13 yrs now and yeah I have had some order not been right but it always been my favorite place until last night. It started with the waitress not wanting to take care of our table but then she took order and proceeded to ignore us the rest of the night. The after we were done I check the computer kiosk for our total it said the amount which was about $67 or so instead of me splitting the check on there I called her over and told her just split it right down the middle and when she came with the paper for us to sign each of us was charged 40$ which made the total 80$ so I calmly call her over and said I think u made a mistake. Instead of saying anything she grab the receipt took about 30mn to look whatever up then the manager comes trying to make a scene like I didn’t want to pay and was very condescending. I am not one to accuse people of being prejudice but they didn’t even bother to look at the bill properly ,being African -American women and my son being there I just let it go because they always expect us to act that way. I went home to their online ordering did the same order again and it was the 67$ not 80$ . I am so disgusted by the whole situation and to have the manager and the waitress talking about us in front of us like we couldn’t hear was very unprofessional and I just will never be...
