Kin D Thai & Sushi — Restaurant in New London

Our group decided on sushi for a friends birthday. We were looking for good reviews for sushi places near us. See this place and see the great reviews. We go there get excited. After an hour of sitting there and not even an order was taken yet. Then more people come in. We finally get drinks. Other people are getting there food. We finally place our order then proceeded to wait another 2 hours for our food. Since everyone else around us was getting served. We ask if our food even got started yet. Nope. Lucky we are able to sit and wait and talk cause we were at this place for 4 hours!! And to one of us getting cold food. One of us (me). (Who is pregnant and can’t eat raw fish) gets a sushi role with raw fish when it said cooked. Then when I commented on it. They proceeded to tell me no you order a raw fish role. We were on a family dine-out after the holiday and were planning on checking out a different sushi restaurant in New London which was not open so we ended up here. And it was absolutely an amazing hit! We first were pleasantly surprised by a complimentary spring roll as we were seated. We ordered a few appetizers, couple of special rolls, their lover boat, and finished with a few deserts. Everything was surplus in quality, very fresh, nicely presented, and reasonably priced. The lover boat was a blast to everyone when it came and was an absolutely upscaled experience to have sushi and sashimi served on the boat. Checkout the photos. Kin D is my favorite restaurant in New London county. They have been incredibly accommodating and have provided outstanding service since the day I walked in, and the dozens of times I’ve ordered their food since.

The food is 8.5/10 for quality and taste. 9/10 for price. The cooks really care about the presentation of their dishes and it shows. I’ve never been upset with any of their menu items. I order curry duck at least once a week.

The restaurant is clean, safe and enjoyable to be inside. If I order takeout I typically do it there and wait inside to enjoy their peaceful atmosphere. The inside is quiet like a cafe with a decorative sushi bar. You will not find a friendlier staff around. The restaurant and staff deserve an...
