Brickhouse Pizza & Restaurant — Restaurant in New Milford

I don't understand the raves; Dining in is quite nice; pretty quiet inside even when it's busy, which is remarkable considering how busy their takeout business is. Fare is pretty reliable, except the pizza... So sad to have to say that my wife and I have stopped ordering pizza here, despite continuing to order the chicken francese... so now we have to stop 2 different places if we want that, and pizza. We repeatedly continued getting the pizza for about a year, hoping it was only an occasional problem, but their pies have just gone way downhill in the past couple of years. IMO it's been since they got overwhelmingly busy during COVID. Too often black bottomed, always too light on cheese with the cheeseless edge crust 2" wide. I'm calling them for a chicken francese order now, actually, then John's Best for the pizza. [Edit: I forgot to add that the Brick House Salad is a simple pleasure which we always order...

My family and I stopped in for lunch on the day after Thanksgiving. There was one server working the entire dining room. You would expect things to run poorly, but you would be wrong! Our server - and I am sorry I cannot recall his name - was fantastic! He acknowledged us, answered our questions & got our order in quickly and correctly. As busy as he was, he was personable and smiling, and did a great job by himself in a 3/4 dining room.

The food came quickly, well-prepared, and tasted great. We're from NY and the pizza here was as good as, if not better than, the pizza we get locally. The restaurant was clean and cozy, the menu was deep without being overwhelming, and overall the atmosphere was calm & relaxing.

If you are in town and looking for a great place to have a tasty casual meal at an affordable price, we would recommend Brickhouse Pizza. And the next time we're in the area, we'll be stopping in...

*Review update: This is the best Italian restaurant in the area and by far the best pizza! We love the atmosphere and have a great experience every single time. Colleen was our server tonight and we just wanted to give her credit for being so awesome!

Original review: Passing through the town for the first time and stopped here for lunch. Beautiful restaurant with courteous staff, excellent cleaning and social distancing procedures, and best of all, delicious food for reasonable prices. Great experience and highly recommend this...
