Carvel — Restaurant in New Milford

Older guy, who is the owner, is extremely rude and always makes side remarks to either my boyfriend or myself. He once yelled at my boyfriend for paying with a card instead of cash (they have a small sign on their register, but those ordering will not notice until AFTER they make the ice cream and ask for payment). Definitely should have a sign on the door when we walk in BEFORE we order, especially for those that do not carry cash on them. Even after my boyfriend politely apologized, the guy still managed to take the card for payment after complaining that “us people make him spend $500 a month when we pay with card under $15.” After I placed my order today, he asked me if I wanted a lid and when I replied yes, he made a sarcastic comment like “were you just not gonna mention it?” I did not think it was that big of a deal and as the worker, he ideally should just be asking those questions anyway. If i could give 0 stars i would. My fiance and i went here and purchased 2 soft served icecreams. Not only did the owner act like we were wasting his time even though we knew exactly what we wanted, took my fiances order just fine and when it came to mine it was almost as if he disregarded that i was there completely. We go to pay and not having ever been to this Carvel, we were unaware of their outrageous $15 minimum on a credit card, our order has come to $12.. The owner made a huge scene and tapped on the paper which stated $15 minimum which we hadn't seen. I appologized and he still did the transaction but made it known to the entire store that "next time i better bring him cash to pay for my ice cream instead". I went here with acouple of my best friends for some ice cream and there was an older man waiting for us when we all came out. We didn’t know this man and we were all really scared to get to our car and so we talked to the owner, Albert. We told him about it and he didn’t even hesitate to walk us all out to the car.He then pretended that he was our family make us feel more safe and to let the stranger know that if anything were to happen he would be there. And yet we didn’t know Albert whatsoever and he kindly did this for us. He then proceeded to bring the man inside and talk to him and tell him to leave the area.
