Words cannot fully describe Bertha's Place. This place is definitely a spot for locals, and is open really late. When we first arrived to NOLA, we were looking for some place close to our Airbnb that was still open, and this place was packed and filled with fun vibes! Its a bar, restaurant, and dance club! Everyone was very welcoming, and it was a fantastic beginning for our short stay in NOLA. The DJ was amazing! One bop after another! We ordered Yakamein which is apparently a unique NOLA noodle dish with Chinese roots that was really homey, and was exactly what we needed that night. We also ordered fried shrimp and oysters, and those were really bomb. On top of a bunch of fries it was a great deal for the price! One of our favorite spots during our stay, and we'll be back to say hello to Bertha :)

We were visiting from out of town and wanted to hang at a local spot. We heard about Bertha’s and had the best time! The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was as well. Customer’s really do turn into family here. Bertha was the best

This spot is for the older crowd like 40+. They play mostly local music and old school songs. I just turned 30 but my boyfriend and I had a great time. I'm an old soul. We were visiting New Orleans for my birthday week. Every Tuesday they have open bar from 7-10pm and it's only $10 ! Can't beat that! Anything you want to drink like beer, mixed drinks, and shots. The food is regular bar food and they do not have a big selection of options but good enough to eat. I had the Buffalo wings and French fries. Everyone was friendly and having a good time. Dancing and partying. It's an urban environment so if being around black people makes you uncomfortable do not go. I am black so I love being around my people. Relaxed environment where you can go outside with your drink and come back in as you please.

They do not have enough seating which is the...

I went with my 3 friends for our "last call"drink at 11pm (city restrictions due to the Covid-19 Virus) and, to toast bringing in the 2021 New Year. It was my first time going there even though, I've lived the last 5 years 1 block away. It was a friindly, neighborhood-type establishment with a mature (age- 30+) and regular clientele. Bertha, herself, is a very nice hostess with the mostess. The staff was polite and the dj was energetic for the occasion, keeping the music upbeat and the people happy and dancing. I had a great time with my friends and a positive experience. I rarely "go out" I will come here again sometimes in the future. May they continue to prosper and have...
