Terrible experience. Went for lunch with a guest over the weekend. There were only two other parties (2 people each) when we walked in, so the hostess said we could seat ourselves. We looked at a couple tables but they were all dirty, so we settled on one and used wet naps to wipe them down.
Took FOREVER for someone to come serve us (mind you, there were only 6 patrons in the whole restaurant). My guest and I considered leaving and we definitely should have. When a waitress finally came, she took our order and it was taking way too long to get our food. She came to our table a while later and apologized because there was a new cook being trained. She said that the cook had accidently tossed my guest's chicken tenders in sauce, so he was going to drop a new batch. She offered to bring my food out while we waited for my guest's order and I said that'd be fine.
I ordered a Buffalo ranch chicken sandwich which is fried. When she brought it, it was grilled. Thinking I had made a mistake ordering, I asked her if this sandwich normally comes grilled, and she said. To verify, I pulled up the menu and it is fact supposed to be fried. Not only that, but she brought the very chicken tenders that she said the cooked had messed up .The ones we received were tossed in sauce). So did he not cook new ones like she said?? My guest ordered potato wedges and I ordered fries. They swapped them on our meals. There was literally nothing correct from our order.
I was too hungry to send anything back and have to wait another 30 min, so we ate and wanted to leave as quickly as possible. I asked for the check soon after finishing. After the waitress processed the payment, she returned to the table with the receipt to sign,, but not my card. I attempted to get her attention as she walked away (at this point we were the only two people in the entire restaurant), but I was unsuccessful. We got up trying to find someone to help me get my card back and didn't see anyone. My guest finally went up to the hostess stand and saw my card. He took it and we left. Not only did it take forever for him to get his food because the employee at the register was goofing around and playing (it was so bad the cook had to come from the back to see what was going on), our order was missing six wings. We didn't realize this until my husband had come back home. He called immediately to let them know. He didn't want to have to go all the way back to the restaurant because it's a little far, so he requested a partial refund. The employee he spoke with said no problem, he would process the refund. My husband said please call him back. After an hour, no phone call. So he called BWW back. He spoke to a manager, who then said he would get another manager to handle the refund. After being on hold for five minutes, a random guy claiming to be a manger answered and rudely said that he just came on shift, he didn't know what was going on, they don't process refunds over the phone, and he didn't know what to tell us. I heard someone in the background say oh that's him again? I asked the so-called manager to get the other manager that we spoke with since he didn't know what was going on. By the way, I find it hard to believe that there were three managers on shift, so I sincerely doubt he was an actual manager. As we're waiting for the other manager to come on, the phone disconnects. At this point, I've had enough. I got corporate on the phone. As I'm on the phone waiting for a rep, someone did call my husband back and claimed they were going to do the refund. I guess they do process refunds over the phone, after all. But too little, too late. I reported the incident and was told by corporate that this was going to be handled. I sincerely hope so. I have never had such a terrible experience at BWW. Some of the employees at the NOLA location are ghetto, immature, and very unprofessional. Please don't go there. We walk in the hostesses is helping someone so another employee whom Was sitting on a bench hanging out asked how many, we tell her we would like to sit outside she says okay go outside that she’ll send someone. Me and my friends go sit outside and wait 20minutes and watch as multiple waiters walk past us inside (there’s two big windows) and the bartender as he tends to another OUTSIDE table, finally after 20 a waitress comes and tells us they aren’t suppose to sit tables outside but she’ll take us. We order drinks, my friend ordered a mojito and they bring her a drink and it contains NO MINT. They didn’t have mint but decided they didn’t want to tell us so they tried to fake it. We order our food, I order a burger and the waitress ask me how I want it cooked and I tell her, 10/15minutes later she comes to tell me that her manager said no I can’t have my burger cooked the way I want that they will only cook it one way, I tell her I’ll need to speak with the manager then once again it takes another 10/15 minutes for the manager to come out and when he finally comes out he proceeds to have an attitude because I want my burger cooked a certain way. I ask where on his menu does it say I can’t have my burger cooked to a temp that I like so he takes my menu from me and disappears for 20minutes before coming back with a TRAINING MANUAL!!!, no where on the menu does it say it there burgers are cooked one way so since he failed to train his employees he had to get a training manual to argue with me to try to prove me wrong.
