Food is gross. Ordered an onion ring because I’m at work pregnant and hungry. This place is not even 5 min away from my job and it arrived cold & limp!!! Only had 10 onion rings for the price of $10!! The onion inside of the onion ring is rubbery and a weird texture! I never had from an onion ring in my life. It’s like it’s a fake onion ring. Totally disgusting. I feel so sick to my stomach after eating 3. Very very rubbery and chewy onion. I know for a fact that’s not an onion it has to be some type of imitation onion !!! Seen on the reviews that their onion rings looked home made but this is store brought frozen onion rings. If I start throwing up I will take legal action. So of these people to send out something like this. How hard is it to cut an onion and fry it ??? How can you make an onion ring taste bad. I could only imagine how the rest of their food tastes. I ended up at Half Moon towards the end of a whirlwind bar tour. Having never been here before, I didn't know what to expect. I had only driven by during the day, and you can never get a feel for a bar when it is light out.

Others have described this as a dive, but I didn't get that vibe. It could have been that it was very late and the place was kind of dead. There were no pool players and only a few people at the bar.

There was a divey moment where two customers started an impromptu dance/argument, but it ended amicably.

The bar seemed too well lit to be a dive, but we did drink high life. I guess I am 50/50 on the dive bar/neighborhood bar ratio. I think I will require further study before making a final determination.
