Nada!! Sorry did not like my experience at La Carreta. We were walking on the way to Juan’s Flying Burrito, which is great and have eaten many times. Saw this place and decided to give it go. It was nice and clean on the inside but had that Corporate Restaurant Vipe of trying too hard to be hip. Wait staffs come and go and you never know what kind of waiter you can get. We got the mediocre, don’t really care about this job kind of guy. Chips were Stale and salsa was just ok. Had to ask for water after 15 min of sitting .Dude it’s Hot as Hades outside. Our drinks were the only good part about this dining experiment. Food was not good. I had the fish tacos and they were bland and just not tasty. Before we even finished our lame food the waiter brings the check. ( the place was not packed and we were not the rude uncool kinda customers for him to be rushing us out) Wow some salesman, does not even ask if we would like another round of drinks or dessert. Looks like this joint may be good for yahoo happy hour but not for good Tex Mex dining. I really wanted to like this place but from now on we will always go to Juan’s where the food is always consistent and has a good atmosphere. Nada. Not again and won’t give La Carreta’s...
Read moreThis is gonna be a really honest review. I ordered takeout, and when I arrived at the restaurant I was already sweating. They have one of those corny neon signs that says something like “tacos are bae” and for some reason they have HUGE semi-transparent watermarks in the shape of their restaurant logo overlaying the ENTIRE screen on all of their TVs as if they’re trying to hypnotize you into remembering it’s name. Super weird. I was like crap this is about to be one of those hipster spots on magazine that charges $15 for two tacos and I can’t even really tell if Cooper Flagg is balling while I wait for my food at the bar. Boy was I wrong. I paid ~17 dollars and took home a massive plate of some delicious greasy cheesy steak quesadillas that came with guac lettuce pico sour cream hot sauce AND they threw in chips and salsa for free. Truly a nightmare experience turned absolute dream by some delicious food and wonderful workers. I really should’ve tipped and I definitely will next time I come back. I usually tip on takeout orders I was just understandably thrown off by...
Read moreI just had La Carreta for the second time, and it was even better than my first unforgettable visit. The atmosphere is warm, vibrant, and full of charm, with colorful decor that immerses you in a truly authentic experience. They also have plenty of big TVs, making it a great spot to catch a game while enjoying the lively vibe—I could sit there for hours just soaking it all in.
The nachos I had on my first visit were loaded with fresh, flavorful toppings and perfectly crispy chips, while this time, the quesadillas stole the show with their gooey cheese and rich, savory filling. Everything was reasonably priced, which made the experience even better.
The blueberry mojitos are a must-try; mine was refreshing, slightly sweet, and bursting with fresh berry flavor. On top of the amazing food and drinks, the service was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. La Carreta has quickly become a favorite for its bold flavors, great value, and cozy, inviting vibe. I can’t...
