I am visiting from originally California and Florida. I am an educated playmate via playboy.
The man working today said he does not want black people inside of the store after he watched a Chinese young woman bully me while I sat in fear in silence.
I did not even speak to her - this is on camera. She said I WISH I was Asian - I am FOUR races. Mexican, African, Spaniard, Filipino - and ethnicity - 100% USA 🇺🇸. I am Asian. And all the rest of my races as well, proudly.
I support all flags. I think it’s very sad to discriminate especially after all the discrimination the Asian community got during COVID and now they decide to bully me as a mixed black/latin Asian woman. Clearly - I look mostly African American and that doesn’t make them happy. Still, I am Filipino. I respect all countries, but they do not. They did nothing about this. Completely discriminatory.
Are there race issues and division in New Orleans??
I am visiting from Florida, California native and have never experienced this. Please stop operating if you don’t want black people in your store as a lot of americas do not even want Asians in the USA. Discrimination doesn’t feel good to anyone.
I have to sit in my car and eat because I felt so uncomfortable. I am a Christian woman and I know this is an injustice. I trained for yoga 200 hr Indonesia for PEACE. Even Buddha would say, spread love not discrimination.
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice EVERYWHERE.
How can you have a business in the USA from Vietnam and discriminate against anyone? Totally bizarre.
UPDATE: I decided to give it another try as I am staying at a hotel down only down the street. I called and tried to place an order beginning with miso soup only to have the man working tonight say “THATS ALSO A DIFFERENT CULTURE”. In LA- you have koreatown, Chinatown, and all surrounding LA cities that they do not have this still reoccurring racism. All Asians are Asian. Even Indian. I am Filipino and Philippines is know for being kind and, honest - a monitoring country that stays out of war. Disgusting employees with a typical response to my review to silence the true discrimination they have going on in their hearts, employees, and...

Read moreThis is hands down the best Vietnamese food in New Orleans! The food, service, and ambience is unbeatable! I went from trying other places and leaving disappointed plus stomach problems. I feel bad for the people who read the menu and keep walking down the street. The broth is perfect and not greasy. The spring rolls are made to order- soft and not hard to chew. The noodles are hard and melt in your mouth while keeping the perfect texture. Henry and Jay bring me so much joy every time I visit! Whether I am sick with the flu or just enjoying the cold weather..this place feels like home! I actually have gone 5 times in a row recently and can't get sick of their foods family owned and operated- the quality and quantity of their dishes is beyond expectations! They even remember our order. There's not a bad thing to say about this place. Hands down my favorite place to dine in the city! I hope they get the recognition they deserve and everyone can experience the magic that is Pho Tran! A must visit for magazine street. For every table that empties another group - whether it's 2 people or 10 ate met with smiles and amazing food. Love you guys ! Thanks for helping me when I had the flu with hot broth and for the amazing shrimp rolls when I got better. So many bad experiences in Nola and this is the golden goose of them all ❤️❤️❤️
And to the one star review claiming this place is racist- I'm a black woman who eats here often and this is the most accepting business of all races and cultures I've been to uptown. They put their hearts into the dishes and the customers who visit. A customer and...
