One of my go-to spots for dumplings and sushi in NOLA! The vibe is laid-back with eye-catching decor that adds to the charm. It’s a small space, so I highly recommend making a reservation if you don’t want to wait.

To start, we ordered the Paloma and lychee cocktails, both refreshing and perfectly balanced. We also tried the Monkey Snack and Stoplight rolls. If you’re into bold, complex flavor profiles, the Monkey Snack is a must. Sweet, tangy, and packed with flavor—it hits every note. The Stoplight roll brings just the right amount of heat thanks to the jalapeños, and the fish is incredibly fresh.

But the real star for me? The curried dumpling broth. I seriously dream about it when I’m not in NOLA. It’s so rich and flavorful that I almost finish the broth before touching the dumplings. Absolute comfort in a bowl.

The tuna rangoons weren’t my favorite, but still a solid dish.

Overall, a staple spot for me anytime I’m in town. Consistently delicious with creative dishes that leave a...

This is a very tasty meal and worth the visit if you’re visiting and looking for something other than French or soul food

The broth of the curried favor dumplings is light and flavorful. The beef dumplings in it have a nice sweetness that goes well with the curry. The broth not as thick as something you’d normally pour over rice but if you have extra it’s still good to do.

The vegan dumplings are perfectly fried and taste like a fried spring roll. You don’t see a lot of veggie dumplings. The sauce is great and a lot sweeter than most dumpling sauces.

Golden nugget is perfectly fried and not greasy. The thinness of the cut makes it the best way to eat white meat.

Monkee snack is worth trying once for the novelty but not something I’d order again. The texture of the salmon sashimi and banana make it work.

Spicy Dan Dan noodle broth is very savory and nice and salty. Noodles are very fresh.

Miso soup is also savory and not watered down like a...

The drinks and food are amazing BUT the service was simply awful. We sat down to have drinks at the sushi bar till a table was ready and we waited for an hour and a half. They were rude the whole time we were waiting and forgot they even told us to wait. So they sat people that came after us while we kept waiting. I spoke to three different people and ALL of them were rude. We won’t be going back which is a shame. The food and drinks are yum but not worth the awful attitude

UPDATE- we went back and wow. The service has completely changed. The staff is new... enough people must have complained. Everything was spot on and we weren’t an easy table with a three year old and a four year old. I was very impressed with the service and the owner even gave my littles lollipops after asking me if it was ok. The food came out quick and...

Made a reservation at Luvi’s as our first dining experience in NOLA. Found Luvi’s upon an online web search of places to eat in NOLA. Place is TINY, all servers and staff were wearing masks. Servers were friendly, service was quick, they were very quick to remove empty plates for your table. We ordered the Feed Me Raw seafood option- food was meticulously plated and very fun, each dish had a unique element, not something you can experience at many restaurants-all options were satisfying; baby back ribs-large portion was good; spicy chicken wings-very good and very crispy; special was pork belly shrimp dumplings-were not very good; chilled plates five scented edemame-came out steaming but were good. If you are looking for fresh Japanese seafood Luvi’s is your place.

We enjoyed a fantastic dinner at LUVI. We sat at the chef’s counter and enjoyed watching the raw fish dishes get prepared. Every dish was delicious and had bold and creative flavors that worked together and innovated on traditional classics without obscuring the dish. The price was good and was a great way to enjoy quality and unique dishes that could easily cost twice as much elsewhere. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and a theme that perfectly complemented the food. Crawfish wontons: 8/10 delicious if not slightly predictable Golden nuggets: 9/10 excellent and decadent, and the blueberry sauce was unexpectedly savory and delicious Feed me: 10/10 beautiful presentation and delightful and creative flavor combinations that really elevated the raw fish
