U Pizza — Restaurant in New Orleans

OMG!! Distraught, shocked, and nauseous are just a few words to describe what I saw when I walked into this restaurant! A friend told me how good their pizzas are. I remember it being Slice so while out Saturday evening I decided to go try a slice. So, I entered and the gentleman behind the bar near the entrance did not greet me, he signaled for a young man to come and take my offer. The bar area appears normal except there was only one patron at the bar enjoying a drink. I stated I wanted to order one slice of pizza. The young man stated there are no slices, just whole pizzas. I turned around and looked at the menu on the wall to see if I wanted anything. I asked where the restroom was so I could utilize it. What I saw was so awful I would not use the restroom, nor touch anything, much less, eat here! THE PICTURES SAY IT ALL!!! The bathroom was so disgusting and a large sign on the wall said to not flush any toilet paper!!! The back dining area is utilized for trash, storage, piled high junk, and a motorcycle!! And there was an employee working with napkins and silverware at a table in the midst of the filth. Yes, I'm not lying! This is right by the kitchen!! On the way back on the front I realized there were no patrons dining on this section! There was a couple dining in a booth, one gentleman alone, and the one at the bar. I tried to take a pic of the kitchen area but I was being watched! So I decided to quickly leave. Upon exiting I decided to take a pic of the outside of the rest and then noticed the menu on the wall! Just look at the pic and you understand the owners standard, period.

It's a Saturday night in New Orleans!! It used to be packed when it was Slice. I know why and feel bad for anyone ordering delivery from here because they have no idea how disgusting this place is!! THIS RESTAURANT NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN! It deserves zero stars, just couldn't give it one. THE PHOTOS...

You want to know something mortifying? When you're starving, just got in town for an event and U pizza tells your SOBER person, you're too drunk to understand how to get pizza... So, you order pizza based off the hotel's recommendation, you only expect something decent...but you get this ..absolutely trash. Imagine you place an order, 45 mins later the order stops showing updates, the site just asks for your review...odd. Then, you call after the order says it's been delivered- for the last 25 mins. You know it's a busy night, you get it, so you call. After holds and hang ups, you finally get some guy on the phone, he's extremely rude, won't listen to your one question "do you have an idea when my order may arrive?" Decided to send you to manager. You ask this "manager" when the pizza will arrive, you tell him it says it was delivered, it's getting late and you don't want to wait in the lobby any longer, it's been over an hour with no update. He then tells you a gambit of things ..." YOU'VE HAD TOO MUCH TO DRINK" What?! That "the pizza is there"... "Oh wait! It's about to be there, but you've had too much to drink, you can't have it" and "we've been trying to get ahold of you" I have not one missed message or call. Not on my phone or the app. I would 100% skip this place. Garbage.

While in New Orleans for a long weekend, I found one of their menus in the hotel lobby. After countless drinks around town, we decided to call it a night and headed back to our room. I had been dying to try some local pizza as I always do when in a different town. I remember the menu I had picked up earlier in the trip, and gave them a call. I put in a delivery order for a large pizza with bacon and pepperoni. After a short wait, the driver met me in the lobby. He was very friendly and courteous. I took the pizza back up to the room and opened the box. Right from the start, the pie looked amazing! It was perfectly cooked, and smothered in toppings. I couldn't have been more eager to give it a try. Every bite was perfect! This pizza was one of the better pizzas I've had in my experience. It definitely did not disappoint and I would highly recommend this place to place to anyone. If I get the chance to make a return trip to Nola, I'll be sure to order...
