L' Attitude 28 — Restaurant in New Port Richey

We tried this establishment tonite and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. We ordered the fried cauliflower appetizer. When it came out it looked like it came out of a bulk bag purchased at Costco. Outside was extra crispy and the cauliflower inside was like mush. While my wife was still finishing the appetizer our waitress came and removed the plate before asking if we were finished. My wife had the salmon which she was pleased with but nothing special for the price. I had the New York strip steak . I asked for it to be cooked medium. When it came out I cut in to the thicker half of the steak and it was cooked medium. The other half was cooked well and was dry. We both had mash potatoes as a side and they were bland and lumpy. Once again the waitress took my wife’s plate away while she still had food on the plate without asking if she was done. I did not finish my meal and Stephanie the waitress asked if I wanted a box. When I told her the steak was not cooked the way I asked her response was what do you want me to do about it. She should have offered a solution not ask me what to do. She should a Have told a manager or owner but did not as no one came to our table. We obviously will not return and definitely would not recommend. When it comes to food we do not mind paying extra if the food is good but not for mediocre food as this place was. To the owner check your nightly log if there is no complaint speak to Stephanie as we did voice our complaint to her. Response to the owner : I was not asked to cut into my steak and the thickness was inconsistent. The end I started on was cooked correctly but as I got halfway through it was over cooked. I expressed that to Stephanie at the end of our meal. I told her if I started on the other end of the steak I would have seen it was not cooked to my request and would have sent it back. As you saw I did not finish my meal and I can eat! You did not serve us brussel sprouts but it was cauliflower. We felted rushed by the waitress as she twice removed my wife’s plate prematurely ,once with the appetizer and then her meal. although my wife was polite and responded yes she still had food on her fork and plate. You did not respond to the fact that Stephanie’s response to my dissatisfaction with the steak was what do you want me to do about it ? I normally don’t listen to google reviews when it comes to dining out as I like to try new places and support local businesses . Well i think they're trying to make this place a bit upscale but unfortunately they need to get a real chef to do that. We ordered the GF Flatbread which came with way too much if everything on the very thin crust. Too much olives and everything topped with way too much balsamic glaze, you couldn't hold it to eat without falling apart. Not because you put a ton if sruff on something it makes gourmet, it was just a mess. Then i ordered a medium well steak which came with some kind of a blueberry sauce i began to eat when i noticed that the texture was weird, i scrapped the sauce off and cut the steak in the middle and it was completely raw!! I was waiting for the waitress to come but it took too long so i got the attention of another waiter to get her. When she came i told her the steak is horrible and to remove it from the bill. I was hungry we were there early to eat so now I'm turned iff and i don't want to order anything else. In the meantime i tried what my husband ordered which was linguini with clams and it was sour as hell. My husband is not one say anything but i said how can you eat this, it horrible too! So now the "chef" comes and tries to apologize and see if i want anything and i said no. We get the bill with minus my steak and now the owner comes to speak with us. She wants to know why we were not happy with our food and i told her it was horrible. We know what good food and steak is and this here is not it. I explained how the pasta was also horrible and she said how do you make linguini with clams? I said first of all I'm italian so i do know how to make this dish and your chef clearly does not. I told her to make it which is very simple and you don't put lemon juice, you can go on any YouTube videos and see it for yourself. So she oh I'm going to ask my chef to remake this dish for her to see what I'm talking about and i said please do but i will not be coming back. She was apologizing and gave us a gift card to come back, i haven't returned and i regifted the card ti a friend.
