My mother and I just visited this Checkers around 12:30 at night. I understand that no one wishes to work at this hour, but the way we were served was just plain disrespectful. I also understand it is a fast paced restaurant, but this was just horrid. The server slammed the window on my mother as she asked for napkins, the worker hurried around like a mad man. They were unprepared and I suppose this is why the workers were scattering like ants. This spiked my curiosity. There were barely any cars. My mother told me how they had once served her poorly before and so I decided to speak to the manager just after the incident at 12:30 at night. I figured that the employees were the problem, but much to my surprise-it was the manager! He was rude and obviously did not care as to what I had to say. He explained how he wanted things to go fast, and now I understand that this man puts unnecessary pressure. The manager acted as though it was my fault for even being disturbed by the matter and brought up the fact that he "wishes for his workers to act fast paced." By fast paced do you mean inadequate and with a sour seeming attitude because their boss is pushing them too far? This experience was a big disappointment and unnecessarily stressful. I'm sure this has happened to many other customers besides my mother and I, and I'm sure they have lost those customers' business as well as they have for my mother, myself, and all that we know. Please, do yourself a favor and save yourself some time before coming to this poorly run Checkers. Read moreThere is something wrong with your manager at this location, and I reported it to your corporate office and it's been a couple of weeks and nobody called me back!! My family ordered food at your restaurant and your manager was cooking the food and they got my sandwich wrong. I went back up to get the sandwich fixed and your staff accused me of lying. She said I know I put a sandwich in there only ketchup. I said, do you want me to show you the other sandwich? She said yeah. So I walked back to the table my husband was sitting at and grabbed the sandwich out of his hands and brought it back to her. I was stunned. I've never had anyone call me a liar when they mess up my sandwich. So I brought back the other sandwich and I said see. And she gave me no apology. Nothing. Then I looked at her and asked her what was wrong with her. She said what's wrong with you. I said are you kidding me? Why would you argue with a customer when you messed up? Then I asked for her name and she refused to give me her name and slammed the window in my face. This is unacceptable. This person needs to be fired. Read moreThis is my usual checkers I go to and their service is normally fantastic. However tonight my experience hasn't even been merely satisfactory. I ordered an all american burger with just chili and cheese since they no longer have the chili cheese burger they usually do this for me. Not only did they mess it up the first time and make it a regular all american burger they proceeded to mess it up again by just slapping chili and cheese on a bun and no burger patty. Just that chili and cheese. That is NOT what I specified or ordered. And they asked me 5 times like jesus christ. I work in restaurants have been for 5 years now and even I would see it as a previous menu item. Not only that but since you can watch them make the food from the walk up window I watched them make it the first time around and noticed my bbq bacon Buford with NO BACON AND NO ONIONS literally saw them put it on my burger and just scrape it off. And the burger still had onions on it when I went to eat it. I don't eat pork as the grease upsets my stomach and that can be cross contamination. If I get sick I'm suing.
