Consistently Disappointing Service at New Providence Smashburger!

I've given the Smashburger in New Providence multiple chances, and I regret to say my patience has finally run out. Out of three visits, two have been marred by shockingly poor service. On two separate occasions, I stood at the counter for over five minutes, completely ignored by the staff. It's not as if they were swamped with customers; they were simply present, yet seemingly incapable of acknowledging a waiting patron. I observed staff members chatting amongst themselves and performing other tasks, but making absolutely no effort to take my order or even offer a simple "I'll be right with you."

Just earlier today, I was there and two other families behind me, and after seven minutes of standing around and completely being ignored, I just walked out and the other family walked out with me.

I genuinely don't understand the point of being open for business if you're going to treat customers with such blatant disregard. It's incredibly frustrating to waste time standing around, feeling completely invisible. If you're looking for a quick and pleasant meal, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. My name is Sarah and I was there on Monday and I went there thinking that I had a gift card for smash burgers when it was actually a gift card for another burger place. I am not from here so I didn't realize it until it was too late,my order had already been placed, I was mortified but the cashier was such a sweet woman,she said one moment and called for the manager, I was like uh oh!! But he looked at me and said don't worry, you have to eat!! This one's on us. I was pleasantly surprised but also flabbergasted. I was waiting for Ashton Kutchner to jump out and say.. you've been punked!! It's so hard to find nice, good-hearted people anymore. New Providence NJ smash burgers is the best place to take the kids and just enjoy the great service,and delicious food. I absolutely love this place and I recommend EVERYONE to go like yesterday!! Kept me waiting a long time even though order was ready. No apologies and not even a thank you…rude staff. Went back again took over 45 minutes to get my order. Tried this restaurant again with no improvement!!! The employee packed my order then left it sit under the heat lamps and didn’t make the shakes? Another employee came out to pack orders for a brief time to stop to show someone his car and nobody was packing orders, do you pay employees to do this and ignore customers that are waiting? I had to again asked an employee to make my shakes and finally received my order cold!!!! Why is this service not being improved? Why did the employee push my order to the back of the line because no one wanted to make the shakes?
