My husband and I live in Port Orange and usually go to the Chipoltly on Dunlawton. We decided we wanted a change in scenery to went to the one in New Smyrna Beach on 44 at 5:15 pm on 09/02/2024. WOW that was a huge mistake. I am so glad we didn’t have guests from out of town with us it would have been so embarrassing. Speaking of embarrassing you would think the manager of this establishment would be embarrassed of how this store is being kept. I see plenty of reviews speaking of the nasty mess but nothing is getting done about it. I wish I read the reviews before going but in all of the times visiting many different Chipotle restaurants, I had never seen anything this bad ever anywhere really. I was mortified how the trash was piling up in the trash cans and not one clean table inside or out. Every inch of this place was filthy including the prep counters. I was starving at this point otherwise I would have really walked out. We sat outside to eat dinner and we were bombarded by birds everywhere even above us looking down from the umbrella. I was afraid of getting pooped on. Now at this point thinking of how mortified I was about the filth I couldn’t eat after a few bites of my food. I sadly tossed it as I was getting sick to my stomach. We spent $35 and it all went in the garbage. The birds were even flying in and out of the garbage. The employees seemed to be very unhappy to be alive and acted like we were such an inconvenience. I was a business owner and everyone in this establishment would have been replaced a long time ago including the manager. I advise staying away from this place I would be afraid to eat the food based on how bad this establishment was. I will never go back. Clean up...
Read moreIf I could give this no stars the review would be more accurate. I’ve been to chipotle at other locations over the years. I never had a problem with my order until I placed my online order today. I went to pick up my meal in the drive thru. I was trying to add chips on the order and the man said I would need to come inside to do that so I did. I drove home with the food and when I opened the bag I noticed a very small burrito about half the size I’ve gotten in the past. I get it sometimes food places get busy and mess up the order. I was about to call the store to speak to a manager to handle the issue and I found that there was no number online. I went back to the store and asked to talk to a manager so I did. The manager was a middle aged male. I didn’t get his name. All I know is that he is rude and didn’t handle the issue like he should have. I told him my burrito was supposed to have extra chicken and he refused to remake it for me until I begged him. Before I begged him I said so can you refund my money? He said I would have to go to corporate about the situation. He didn’t say much but the way he handled the situation wasn’t professional at all. He said he didn’t want to remake it because if he did it would be the same size so then after asking him and repeating myself he remade the burrito but this time it was even smaller. At that point he wasn’t going to fix the mistake and did not even apologize. I don’t understand why they need me to go to corporate to get a dang refund. Extremely rude manager and that lost my business to that company. Poor customer service and he refused to offer a resolution. Leads me to not want to visit this new Smyrna beach...
Read moreParking Lot not well lit at night. Bathroom was clean which is a good indication of cleanliness of food handling. Food line was efficient though employees assisting customers were Kurt and at time appeared irritated with customers. Cashier was polite but not at the register when it was time to ring up the purchase. One primary food item was not available. Primary server wore a name tag that said I am nicer than my face looks, which did not seem to be correct based on interactions with three customers in a row. All issues point to poor store management. Customer service policy or training is failing. Product availability caused loss of up sale. Quality of food is normally good however this visit beef contained several bits of inedible gristle. Quality of entree likely a corporate contracting issue the store management may have no influence over. Seating area was orderly but needed to be cleaned. No garbage from previous customers in seating area. In two months and three visits two experiences have been similar to this one. Chipotle has been a family favorite for years though that loyalty is being challenged with poor service, poor product availability and poor food quality at times. Family of fours visit under was 60.00. Will likely only go again in the next few months out of a lack of quick options and in hopes of improvement. Disappointing, Chipotle seems a better option than cheap burgers, fried foods and economy tacos. Though there is a time for those quick options; which will be more often with this lack of consistency at...
