Taco Bell — Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach

This is an in-depth review. The wait times are acceptable, not great, but not bad. IN LOBBY Orders are around 2-5 minutes usually. (Depending on the size.) and 6-11 minutes when it's busy around 1PM and 6PM. Its pretty rare to see 12+ minutes, and when it is that long, the lobby servers tell me in advance the wait time before I place an order. IN DRIVE-THRU Usually 1-3 minutes from order to getting the food. *When Drive-thru is packed expect 4-6 minutes. 4: Good, slightly above average for the higher quality of fast food you get. I've seen amazing service here. Yeah, they might push their in-store surveys, but if you do it and show them you did it, they might give you a free dessert. I even heard they have bottles of Verde sauce on reserve. They even have the spiciest sauce in a black packet, Diablo sauce. Just ask for some. Both drive-thru and lobby servers are clear and concise. The orders are pretty accurate for the most part, but there are mistakes here and there. If there is one, they'll replace it and may even throw in a coupon for the inconvenience. Be sure to check the monitor that shows your order before you pay if the server didn't repeat your order already. Preventing a problem is better than fixing it. 5: The service that goes above and beyond. You might want to check your order. There is a variety of food to choose from the standard menu. From Taco Salads where the bowl is a shell, a tostada styled Mexican pizza, and a lunchbreak with the one handed Crunchwrap. While the SECRET menu is a little lacking in quantity it's still worth looking into. The Enchirito, Meximelt and the Black bean burrito to name a few. You can also customize your Food to be exactly the way you want it, ala Build-A-Burrito style. Vegetarian? No problem. Just sub out any meat to beans, black beans or even rice. Is the Jalapeño sauce in the quesadillas too spicy? Put it on the side so your spicy loving friend can pour it in their burrito. I personally order a shredded chicken burrito, added beans to it, "Smothered Style" by buying a side of red sauce, 3 cheese and sour cream. They put it in a bowl, steam it with the red sauce and cheese and add sour cream afterwards. A fast food enchilada. They always have at least 1 innovative LTO item and combo for at least a month to spice some things up. They can get pretty crazy. And thats not including the flavors of freezes they change out. There are much better options here than your standard burger joint. 5: Amazing, great variety and quality.There's a little something here for everyone. The pricing is on the moderate side for items by themselves and most combos. The dollar menu is pretty solid for your dollar. The box combos really are a good deal for your $5 dollars. A twelve pack of regular crunchy tacos for $10.99? Pretty good price for not cooking for a family. It can get cheaper if you go there from 2-5PM and get a $1 dollar medium soft drink or even a $1 dollar freeze. Seniors can even get free drinks. 4: Pretty affordable. Just don't have eyes bigger than your stomach. The Cleanliness is solid. It can get really messy when it's busy, but I've accepted the fact that the lone lobby server can't clean up really quick by themself when there's a customer coming in the door every minute or so. They just don't detail the place all that well. Straw wrappers in the seams of the booths, a dirty soda fountain grate, some soda residue on the wall beside it. Just some of the little things they can do to improve. The atmosphere is fantastic. The atheistic and the decor looks great for a fast food place. It's bigger and not that cramped compared to some other Taco Bell locations. Nice huge parking lot.The design of all the different types of tables, chairs, booths, and high tables are positioned quite nicely. I never felt cramped up from sitting. 5: Needs to be detailed, but is just simply wonderful to look at for a casual place.

I come to this Taco Bell all the time, sometimes they’re lazy but I cut em slack because I get off late, but this one has been going down hill lately I think it’s the new night time manager, came a couple nights ago and my Cinnabon delights (that take only a minute or two to fry) were rock solid and had been sitting there, went back around and the manager lady was like here I’ll just give u 4, assuming that I just wanted free food or something but I asked for two new fresh ones not 4 MORE ROCK HARD OLD ONES… but I let it go because these reviews are a waste of time when nothing changes, then I go tonight because I’m off late and I have no other options, everything I ordered was ice cold, almost like they had soft taco supremes and cheesy roll ups and multiple other things already prepped ready to sell at 2:00 AM, like really who’s selling enough to prep all that this late, I was very disgusted with my food didn’t finish half of it. Same red head manager lady is the one who handed me my food after some new guy/girl employee was rude asf over the microphone “is that it? Are u done? Is that it?” Like no I’m clearly still ordering stfu, please fix this place one of my only food...

This place is clean. The teenage servers are polite, efficient and professional. There were a few customers inside the restaurant and there were at least 5 cars at the drivethru, the food came out fast, fresh and hot. Our favorites are the Dorito Tacos and Fiesta Cheesy Potatoes. They are delicious as always. This restaurant gives less ground beef than the other restaurants. The potatoes here are 1.99 while other Taco Bell charged only 1.79. The free wifi here works a lot better than some other Taco Bell’s. 4 stars. Will surely return.

** The servers are very personable, extremely friendly. We tried the $5 stacker box which include a Dorito Taco, a hard regular taco, a nachos, a stacker and a drink. Very good deal. All tasty but the regular taco has no cheese! Still 4 stars. Will surely return.
