Firehouse is my favorite. I come to this location all the time. I would gladly pay more for a superior sub. However tonight 3/10 was a disappointment. I placed an online order for a large New York steamer for takeout at 7:00 for 7:15 pickup. Which costs $13 these days. They called when I was on my way and said the toaster was broken. They said they couldn't toast the bread but the meat and cheese would be hot like normal. Fine I said. I arrived on time and had to wait a few minutes which is fine. However, there was nobody in the restaurant and no take out orders sitting in the pick up area. But whatever, they're extra slow tonight. When I was handed my sub I could tell immediately they skimped on it. There was probably half the normal amount of meat. It looked like a subway sub but worse. I could have gone to Publix and paid less and got a better sub. I could have gone to Subway and paid less and got a better sub. Both of which are in the same plaza. I hope this was a fluke and this franchisee isn't just another business owner trying to charge more for less. If that is the case, do you think customers won't notice? Most people aren't stupid. Like I said, I come all the time and such a drastic reduction in quality is definitely noticed. Read moreIf I could leave zero stars for this location, I would. My family and I have visited this store four different times, and every single time my order has been made incorrectly. I always emphasize, “Please do not put onions and peppers on my sub.” Each time, staff acknowledge this request, and yet every time my sandwich is made with onions and peppers.
Today was the worst experience yet. Not only were onions and peppers added, but the sandwich was so loaded with them I could barely see any meat. After spending $40 on a family meal to enjoy at the beach, the last thing I should have to worry about is whether my order will be wrong again. Unfortunately, this mistake ruined our outing.
When I returned to the store to address the issue, the staff refused to remake my sandwich. That level of service is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. If a company is going to charge premium prices, customers should be able to expect basic accuracy and respect.

This was the first time taking my daughter there and bragged to her how this place is better then subway. 2 subs ordered and not to be toasted and waited 26 minutes. People who ordered after us was getting there food before us. Asked why it was taking so long and got attitude. When I finally got my order it was wrong. No Oil & vinegar MEANS NO OIL & VINEGAR! She couldn't even eat her sub. There was no way I would even eat my sub in front of her and felt so bad that I told her let's eat at home instead and left. Who was I to complain to the staff with attudes. When we got home I tossed both subs ($26 bucks worth) and ordered pizza so we could both eat together as a family as intended.
