My husband & I love the A.M. Cafe, the food is excellent weather it be Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner each 17th of the month. Great menu choices, great food. Never had a bad meal there and we go quite often. The staff is experienced, pleasant and a joy to serve us. They know their customers & what they like, it's like sitting at your table at home and getting spoiled. The homemade Desserts are to die for, today I had their 2 layer yellow cake with a layer of Cheese cake in the middle with Strawberries and topped with whip cream & lg. Strawberry. The cake was very light & cheese cake absolutely delicious. 😀 Can't say enough great things about this restaurant. We live on Oak Hill & Edgewater boarder line and it's worth the 15- 20 minute ride. So anyone in Oak Hill, Edgewater, N.S.B. don't miss out, try it once & you'll be hooked. From the Durgin's ( Steve &...
Read moreAs a regular weekly patron, and to be fair, I consistently applaud food & staff; however, was disappointed yesterday w/policy & owner/mgt - Choosing the Sloppy Joe special w/fries, I could count the # of fries on the plate, one tier high. Not shy, asking ‘what’s up w/that’ was told ‘we’re rationing fries’! No owner/mgr addressing me about it, waitress embarrassed by it, I walked away unhappy. The staff deserves better because although their tips won’t ever suffer with me, they certainly will & do from others when this happens. If the owner (who was there) had come over & explained that they can’t get fries (assuming they come from a bag vs make their own) & brought more over all would be well. And to be fair again, the reply came from head cook & can’t be sure owner/mgr was made aware, but should have been. We’ll see what happens next...
Read moreHad a Sunday morning brunch at our house after a Saturday night wedding. I worked with Phylis to put together a brunch for 50 people. Her suggestions were brilliant. Phyllis went in on a Sunday morning at 3AM to make sure it was ready. Some of the food was not on the menu and was crazy good. She made us two kinds of French toast casserole with blueberry and peach . The Muffins were in a beautiful tray as was the fresh fruit, also in trays were eggs, bacon sausage and an awesome hash brown casserole. The price was very fair. The food was ready at 9AM on a Sunday morning, the busiest time for any breakfast restaurant. To top it off the food was hot and fresh. People were blown away at the quality of the food. Almost all of the 50 came and there was food leftover. Couldn't have been any better. Thank you Phyllis and all at...
