We ordered the love boat sushi/sashimi combo. That is one star because the raw fish except for the hamachi were flavorless. Shrimp udon=4 stars. I would have scored it 5 stars if not for the unfresh shrimps that were used. Steak soba=5 stars. Their noodles, udon and soba are very flavorful, lots of umami. I would go back to try the Thai dishes, noodle soups and poke bowl dishes but I will never order sushi/sashimi again. The owners are Chinese and their dishes are more of the Asian fusion type not Japanese cuisine. Service was great. Friendly and polite. But I went there for sushi/sashimi which I did not like. *Update...we went back to try the Hawaiian poke bowl, Ramen and Pad Thai. I give the ramen 5 stars, the poke bowl 2 stars because the raw pieces of fish were tasteless. I give the Pad Thai 2 stars because they used soy sauce instead of fish sauce and there was only a slight taste of peanut sauce. The dish has more of a Chinese cuisine taste than Thai . Personal opinion is if you prefer Thai food, go to a Thai restaurant. To end on a good note, the ramen and the noodle dishes are great. *2nd Update: i ordered the Thai red curry steak and it was delicious, not too hot spicy, just right. One comment on the tonkatsu ramen, for my taste it is delicious with the seaweed, fungus, fish cake and century egg. but for Americans, I have a feeling that some may not find these ingredients palatable. I hope they don't remove these Asian ingredients from the dish because of...
Read moreThe food was fresh and decent, and the drinks were reasonably priced, but the menu is deceptive. My wife and I ordered two of a roll that was described as "tuna, masago, scallions, avocado, spicy sauce, jalapeno." Sounded great! Unfortunately, the roll that came had no masago OR scallions, but was absolutely loaded with CREAM CHEESE, which was not listed on the menu. The server seemed to play it off as totally normal that cream cheese is in "some rolls but not always listed." ...lol what... I've been to hundreds of sushi places and I've never seen that in my life---the rolls were literally half cream cheese without that being noted at all on the menu. Like many sushi lovers, my wife and I have strong feelings about cream cheese in sushi. They offered to "make them without the cream cheese" (uh, what about the missing ingredients?) but my wife and I aren't willing to see food get wasted, so we just sucked it up and ate it. I was hopeful that they'd maybe be willing to at least take one off the bill, but sure enough all $22 of incorrectly-described rolls were there on the final check. It's just one meal and we're not the type to make any sort of scene, nor mistreat the staff, so we tipped 20% for the otherwise good service and moved on.
A restaurant needs to accurately describe their menu items in order to maintain the faith of their clientele. We'll try a new...
Read moreI have been going to Yuki since the day they opened. I've referred several friends and family to them. This is our date night every other Friday. Unfortunately it will be my last time going. Learn to respect your customers, even if you're having a bad night or feeling overwhelmed. I placed a to go order. I called back within under a minute to change out a roll. She still had the order and read it back to me. 30 mins had past and my order wasn't ready. The polite guy at the desk checked on my food, then came back and apologized to me and said its almost done. In the middle of him apologizing, the lady rushes up to us and says to me, it's my fault cuz I changed the order at the last minute. She was so rude and it was very embarrassing that she was treating me like this. I never once complained, seeing how busy they were, so I'm not sure why she came at me like that. After arriving to my daughter's for family night, the order was never corrected. Which I didn't mind because I love all of their rolls and I know they were busy, but the thought of how she yelled at me and said it was my fault that it took longer because I changed a roll at the last minute. But yet in reality it was within a minute and yet never corrected in the end. LEARN TO RESPECT...
