Disappointing – A Starbucks with No Coffee!
Today, I went to Starbucks expecting a normal experience, but what I encountered was pure frustration. The store at 491 E 3rd Ave, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169 is supposed to close at 8:30 PM. I arrived at 7:40 PM, and as soon as I parked, I saw a staff member cleaning. When she saw me walking toward the door, I noticed she made a gesture of annoyance, as if she was frustrated by my arrival, and then walked into a hallway where I could no longer see her.
When I tried to order a coffee, I was told that the coffee machine wasn’t working—yes, a Starbucks with no coffee, nearly an hour before closing. How does this happen at a place that literally specializes in coffee? Just cold service and the feeling that my presence was unwelcome.
In the end, I bought two bottles of water because I had no other choice. I had a child in the car and needed the water, but honestly, I didn’t even want to buy that.
If Starbucks closes at 8:30 PM, why is the staff already shutting everything down and acting like customers are a burden at 7:40 PM? Very...
Read moreWe ordered a tall white macadamia nut cold brew and received a tall hot white mocha…..we were wondering why it was more expensive than normal. After we told the baristas the order was wrong, we waited and waited for one singular coffee to be made (after already waiting a while for the first one to come out). After asking when the drink would be made, the barista Raquel barked at us saying that she was handling drive thru orders. Meanwhile, we were the only guests waiting inside to receive one already incorrect coffee order. After waiting even longer, we wanted a sleeve for her drink and was told “just grab it off the other drink on the counter.” I didn’t realize that this was a self serve Starbucks….after getting a sleeve, she threw it at my mom……again her name is RAQUEL. Totally unnecessary and extremely rude. We will gladly be supporting small business coffee shops in New Smryna where the baristas are happy for business and don’t throw...

Aaron is truly an amazing barista, we are always so happy to hear his voice. He takes customer service to a whole new level. Everyone here is very nice I will add , Aaron just has blown my mind with the level of service and personal attention to his customers and getting to know them. Some might think this is just a job but Aaron treats everyone like a VIP. I was sooooo impressed with Aaron that I called Corporate to give him recognition for his OUTSTANDING work about 6 weeks ago but he was not recognized :(. Truly...
