This is a mixed review. I went on Saturday which is Greek Night. The souvlaki on rice is quite delicious and there’s a lot of rice. The dish is a bit oily. The avgolemono soup (you get the soup after 4pm only) is unique but nice it’s a chicken, orso pasta, egg, lemon soup. The other dish is hot roast beef sandwich. The bread is like those 99 cents bread. Roast beef is like being shaved from the Walmart deli roast beef ball. The seasonal veggies are cold - they are frozen veggies. Onion rings are hard with extra thick batter - really unable to eat. The Cesar salad has lots of sauce and the lettuce is crispy. The waitress is rude. We asked what kind of fresh veggies, she said seasonal. We asked what’s that Greek soup and she said “it is what it is”. Very unacceptable. We might give it another chance. But not right away. There are so many restaurants around here that I like. There are parking spaces on the front and the side. Sometimes there’s a live band. The patio dining area is nice too. For now it’s...
Read moreStop for breakfast after watching the sunrise at the beach. This place opens at 7 AM. We got there around 7:30. They were not too busy. Our server was a decent middle-aged lady who seemed to be kind of rushed.
Since it was so early most of our table ordered Warner and one coffee she seemed a little stressed out about that in the water had a funny taste
Other than that, everybody pretty much ordered pancakes, eggs, and bacon . The eggs were a little overdone and firm, not fluffy, scrambled eggs as she described them.
It’s definitely a casual café where you can grab a quick bite but don’t be accept. Did to stay long as they seemed very rushy. We paid roughly 70 bucks for five people to have breakfast which isn’t too bad these days.
They have indoor outdoor seating and a very small parking lot super close to the beach, but not on the beach and it seems to be just a few waitresses for the whole establishment .
I’d like to try their lunch just because they had a few things that...
Read moreWhile heading home from vacation, we decided to stop for a burger lunch. We came across Beacon Restaurant on Google maps. The menu looked reasonably priced, so we decided to check it out. When we got seated, the patron seated behind us said that everything on the menu was delicious. We ordered mozzarella sticks, fried mushrooms, the beacon burger and the chicken tender sandwich.
While waiting for our food, you could hear that this was a place for the locals. Regulars would come in and the wait staff would know their name and their order. The prices were amazing and the serving size were very generous. My son wanted a buffalo chicken sandwich, so they tossed the tenders in buffalo sauce. My biggest complaint was the fried mushrooms and onion rings were done more than our liking. Also, they ran out of homemade ranch so I didn’t get to try it. I was overall please with my experience and would recommend checking it out if you are...
