We have personally ordered delivery from this place many times. We(as a business owner as well) also take our workers to dine in frequently during the week. Every time we ordered delivery and asked for our wings to be crispy they always came soggy, so we decided to contact them to notify them because if they're not aware they can't fix it. The owner or Manger we spoke to apologized and said he would notate our account for the next time we call. I called in for another order this week and the girl that answered the phone pulled up our account and confirmed the address. I'm assuming this the owners daughter because she pulled the phone away and told someone to go get her dad. I could hear people in the background asking what we wanted to order, she said she didn't know just get her dad. The girl then got back on the phone and told me they don't deliver to our address. I told her they Cleary do because they have done so numerous times and now they don't? The girl on the phone didn't even care and just said now we don't deliver there. I can only infer it's because we complained about the wings. ..we never asked for anything in return for our soggy wings just wanted them to know and we have always tipped extremely well. We definately won't be doing that anymore or going there. And everyone we know that does go there will not be going anymore either as of this week. If you complain about the food, watch out, they will notate your account to no longer...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped in today. This is a fantastic little spot with some of the best gluten-free crust I have. What was really impressive is that the Clerk asked me right away if it was an allergy or preference and how careful of cross-contamination they should be.
I ordered a gluten-free crust with the Island BBQ, you can have your gluten-free crust made as any of their house specialties or as a build your own. My wife ordered a regular great white.
Both pizzas were amazing. The gluten-free crust was thin and crispy. With just the right amount of bake, the pizza was so good I ate the whole 12" pie in one sitting. My wife's Great White was also perfectly cooked with a light and chewy crust like you would expect in a little corner shop in Brooklyn.
What was extra special, was the staff. Their care and concern was appreciated as well as their friendly conversation. My family and I are in NSB often and will definitely be back.
Update: We were back yesterday and noticed a goat cheese, honey and peaches. You read that right peaches. Now you may have an opinion on pineapple on pizza but this is a must try. The mixture of savory and sweet is unrivaled.
This spot puts a lot of effort into their regular pizzas but also comes up with some incredible flavor combos.
Also a large shout out to their Ceasar dressing. We think it is made in the shop and if it isn't please...
Read moreThe pizza was pretty delicious. The bruschetta wasnât bad. The garlic bread tasted like the garlic was rancid, if not laced with ammoniaâseriously. Sadly, when I complained, the manager (or owner) seemed to aggressively confront me rather than try to understand the source of my complaint. One of my children gagged on the garlic bread and the whole family tasted a metallic-chemical taste in the bread. Rather than try to understand what was wrong with the quality of the food, the manager was defensive and agitated. Unfortunately, the exchange ruined the quality of our meal. In their defense, I was refunded my $3.15. Too bad my kids felt uncomfortable to finish their meals.
Genuinely, I wanted this âpizza jointâ to shine above all the choices on NSB. Sadly, it was a laggard. I love local eateriesâmostly because of their character and customer friendliness. I canât say that anyone was friendly. The cashier was adequate, the pizza chef was present, and the manager was pre-occupied with âvideosâ on his phone when we arrived (as if an air of ambivalence was the status quo). All organizations are a shadow of their leader and this one was blissfully ignorant of patron satisfaction.
Try the pizza, and youâll be fine. Venture outside prepare to be disappointed. Just be careful not to complain, or be prepared for the...
