Hangar 37 Coffee — Restaurant in New Tazewell

I just went to the Hanger 37 today and the service was very poor. I went through the drive thru but the barista who was taking my order was not paying attention to what I was ordering. After finally taking the order correctly I was charged over $20 for two drinks and a muffin. After paying I asked for a breakdown of the items because I felt that was pretty expensive. A different barista from the one who took my order began to give me a break down but it was a little obvious they didn’t know the prices of things. In the end I got two coffees that were different sizes and left a little confused as to how they charge customers. They charge $7 for a regular sized iced coffee… that’s quite expensive in my opinion. The coffee was okay and the muffin wasn’t anything special. I won’t be heading back here in the future, I’m disappointed this wasn’t as good as I had hoped since they had a 5.0 rating on...

Tazewell is incredibly lucky to have this coffee shop! It’s family-owned, and every staff member I’ve interacted with has been friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Sure, there have been a few hiccups—but what new business doesn’t have those?

I’ve seen some comments about the prices, and honestly, I think that’s missing the bigger picture. Prices are up everywhere, and small businesses have to make a profit to stay open. Plus, you get what you pay for. If you’re looking for $1 coffee, there are chains for that—but don’t expect the same level of quality or care. Why not support a local spot run by people who actually care about our town?

I have no problem paying for great service, quality drinks, and those amazing breakfast biscuits I can’t stop ordering. Plus, my dogs love their pup cups!
