I thought that the Alias coffee was fairly new. It's tricky but I'll explain it, the business has been in existence since 2020 but the kication is new. Alias Coffee partnered with 518 Craft and Primobotanica to open up in a shared space in downtown Troy, NY initially during covid. With good coffee and service, I'm sure they will have a successful future. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do taste it so as part of the yelp experience, community CO was thoughtful enough to partner with a small and upcoming local coffee shop on National coffee day and get us in for a cup of coffee. I asked the Barsita to make me the best drink from the available choices and was given a Cappuccino, which I took a sip and handed it to my dad. My dad did say the coffee was good and from my tasting experience, the coffee was smooth and had a bitter after taste (like a few people I know like it that way) and the taske kept lingering fir an hour. Go get your coffee, this is in a neighborhood that requires revitalization, there have been some good initiatives and us as a community can help support them.

Exceptionally crafted coffee, served with great care, at a very reasonable price! I’m always looking out for small coffee roasters, and Hernán’s brews are some of the best I’ve had across the country. He took his time preparing coffee and tea drinks for us and they were cheaper than the ones at the national chains. He had sold out of his packaged coffee beans at the Troy farmer’s market, but he weighed out freshly roasted espresso beans for me to take home on the spot. The new location is beautiful and bright, and the Alias Coffee social media page mentions that he works with regenerative farms in the Americas to source his beans…I really can’t recommend it enough! We will definitely return when we’re back in town visiting family.

Amazing coffee, chocolate, and service! Coming from the pacific northwest, I've been on a search for locally owned coffee shops and I am so happy to have come across Alias Coffee. The owner, Hernan, is so friendly and welcoming, and he is a true coffee expert (he roasts his own beans)!! The ingredients are high quality and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good cup of coffee (and mocha/chocolate lovers).

Alias pop up at the Troy Farmers Market could use a lesson in customer service & accountability. I ordered a (over priced) $7.00 cold brew with mocha and almond milk- simple right? Important to note- I wasn’t greeted with hello or smile. I step off to the side to wait and after FIFTEEN minutes and several people who ordered after me getting their coffees - I asked where my coffee was. I was met with questions about what I ordered, defensiveness on the part of the girl who took my order (who never created a cup for my order) and to top it all off… when I asked for my $7.00 back, the man working tried to negotiate with me offering me the $1.00 refund for the mocha and to make the coffee! Absolutely terrible response to a situation that was 100% their fault. I took my cash over to Liza’s and had a delicious $5.50 cold brew with their flavored milk and was serviced with a smile in 2 minutes. Will not be giving them a...

Best coffee place around seriously. The Owner and staff are friendly and easy to talk to. Really chill people. Great place to sit inside or out. They roast the coffee to a perfect light roast and its very affordable as well. You will not regret getting anything on the menu. I seriously am addicted to the coffee they serve. If I could go everyday I would. This is one coffee place I could never live without. They also offer bags of whole beans that help curb the cravings. My personal favorite is the Mayan Mocha, an espresso with a little sparkling water, and the Hibiscus fizz. The pour over coffee is amazing too. They also can be found at the Troy Farmers market on Saturadays. The new location is right next to Jo's joint on 4th street...
