I would’ve rated 5 stars and I’m only here to leave this review because this place was so good and it’s slipping away. I always stop to grab me and my gf food whenever I pass through Troy I order the same thing every time, rice and peas with stew pork and I always buy 2 large size orders w/ empanadas for the ride home, and the pork is always soft and tender. But I stopped by on 5/23 and idk who’s cooking or what’s happening but the pork was really tough had no olives in it as it usually does and I asked for beef and cheese empanadas and left with a chicken empanadas. For a 50$ meal to be disappointed and not eat our food is ridiculous I really hope this was a fluke cause I always talk this place up to friends and family. I love this little GEM it reminds me of back home in the Bronx! The owner is Soo sweet and welcoming I remember when she opened her Spanish restaurant next door to her market. I've been a faithful customer ever since... We really needed this market in Troy. Her prices are great and very reasonable and she is always fully stocked with items that I originally can only get back in the Bronx... I am Soo proud of the owner and wish her nothing but blessings on top...
