All American Bagel & Barista Company — Restaurant in New York

It's hit or miss here. The quality and freshness of the food is great, but the quality of how their sandwiches are put together needs work.They need a great sandwich maker there. Someone who takes real pride in what they do. For the prices they charge I would expect a more properly made sandwich. I've gotten buttered rolls with pastrami bits in it as if no one cleaned the knife and the butter not properly spread evenly for $3.25. (That was yesterday)I've gotten heros with mayo on only 1 side of the bread and cheese on the bottom of a sandwich. Maybe I have OCD but I've been a deli worker making sandwiches for over 20 yrs and always cared about proper placement of ingredients in a sandwich. It's just disappointing with their price to quality making ratio. They should take $3 off the hero prices if they are just going to throw ingredients on bread and expect me to come back. On the plus side, their bagels are top notch, They are real deal nyc style bagels and their chicken vodka heros are amazing! Bagels in the morning are always hot and fresh . All American has officially lost a customer. I have been living in Howard Beach for 20 yrs, so naturally this is where I would go for breakfast items especially living across the street. I frequent them at least 3x a week. The food is tasty and fresh. The bagels are great. Unfortunately the customer service is HORRENDOUS. I’ve honestly done my best to be understanding with the young girls working the cashiers. But it is enough, they are rude, nasty, inattentive, lazy, and careless. They get the order wrong all the time. It’s like playing Russian roulette, you never know who’s food you will get. Let’s mention the phone service. I called today to make an order for pickup I was on hold for 9 minutes. I figured they were very busy so I hanged up waited a few mins. I called back they picked up then hanged up then I called back again a 3rd time they picked up immediately I said nicely “I was waiting for 10mins on the other line, is there something wrong with the line?” the girl answered “I don’t care” and hanged up on me. So that’s it. I will take my money elsewhere, the food isn’t free to be taking their miserable attitude every single...

Thank you for the company for getting back so fast. Unfortunately I was driving at the time that this initially review came in and was going to complete my review after work. Why I gave you guys One star. It's because I was really upset that I came in for a grilled cheese and I got 2 which was $11 and some change and I specifically asked for the cheese to fully cover the bread. But I only wanted one and a 1/2 pieces of cheese not two full slices and they literally put a 1/2 slice of cheese on one side of the bread so when the sandwich was cut in half there was only cheese on half the sandwich and I ordered 2 grilled cheese sandwiches that was almost $12. That was very upsetting especially since I was getting ready to drive. If she did not understand the request, then she could have simply indicated so, but she repeated it back to me exactly how I wanted it and described it so I knew she understood my request. So for now, the cook to go ahead and do it with a 1/2 a piece of cheese on a grilled cheese that's just ridiculous. And he shouldn't maybe ask questions if he didn't understand so my one star stands.
