Terrible. Deal breakers: They had a party in the basement until the early morning with REALLY loud music that kept us awake (on another floor), and they advertise having a restaurant that the guy at the front desk said was "closed for good." Then why is it still advertised to unwitting customers? Not worth the money they charge in the least. So displeased. I'll sum this up by saying that this hotel has obviously decided to try to squeeze every dollar out of its building as possible, sacrificing quality in some big ways. We got to this hotel and the staff seemed pretty disinterested in us, neglecting to tell us details like when breakfast was, and how to use the WiFi (they were supposed to give us a code it turns out). We asked for a shuttle, and they told us not to call until we arrived at the station where they wanted to pick us up at. When I asked how far away they were from that pickup location, the guy said 10 or 15 minutes. Given that we were arriving from Europe and it was 2 am for our bodies at that moment, the request to wait to call the shuttle seemed exceedingly absurd. We rented the room at this hotel because it had a restaurant and complimentary breakfast, so we could easily eat, but the staff said the restaurant was "closed for good". When I asked surprisedly, "you mean there's no restaurant at all," he changed his answer and just said it's not open right now. When we got to our room, it was hot because they had turned off the air (I suppose to save money). I've been in a lot of weird places but this is the first hotel I've ever been in when the air was completely turned off, making all of those wonderfully gross hotel smells that they usually hide with frigid temperatures seem all the more pungent. The walls were literally shaking from very loud music which I assumed was coming from some other building. Otherwise, it would really be a terrible hotel to allow music so loud it shook fixtures on our walls after 10 pm. When I asked the guy at the front desk, he said nonchalantly that the music was coming from the basement. It was a party. At the hotel. It went on and on, finishing well after 11:30 pm, when I finally passed out due to jet lag after waiting on takeout to eat since there was no food in the hotel. I don't blame the party goers - the hotel decided to sacrifice the sleep and peace of all its other guests for the sake of a party reservation knowing full well it cannot accommodate both a loud party and sleeping, jetlagged guests with small children. The doors and walls in our room were terribly scraped, chipped, and dirty. The latch lock on the top of the door (not the deadbolt) had been torn off, so we only had the deadbolt, no chain, no other latches. I couldn't bring myself to use the shower even though I wanted to so much. My husband made a comment that he thought I said that Days Inns are better than similarly priced hotels, and I said, "Well, that usually is true, but obviously this one is not in that club." To top things off, we had to leave to catch our connecting flight by 6:30 am. When we looked up when the complimentary breakfast started (another key reason we picked that hotel)...didn't start until 7am on Saturdays and Sundays. Even on weekdays it starts at 6:30 am, which is really too late when your main clientele are people catching flights. A complete bust, and by far the worst Days Inn I've ever been to. We'll never be back, and we're in NYC for connections...
Read moreWhen I check in, the front desk said didn’t find my booking, I already paid the full payment through Expedia, but the front desk said only see my booking cancellation, he can saw that I have booked the Travelodge (the one next to Ozone Inn) before and cancel, of course I need to cancel it, because just 1 week before my trip, I received an urgent email from Expedia said Travelodge is unavailable, asked me to cancel the booking and book another one. But when I come to the site, I saw there are people inside the Travelodge, there are cars parked in their lot, I don’t know why it’s suddenly unavailable for other travelers. Also, I see the gate between the parking lot of Travelodge and Ozone Inn are open, the two motels are connected, they are in the same group. Anyway, suddenly unavailability of Travelodge makes me need to book another hotel, so I book the one next to it, which is Ozone Inn & Suite. But when I check-in, the front said can’t find my booking, and said it will charge me $190 per night (instead of $110 per night which I booked before), but as I already did the full payment through Expedia online, it’s unreasonable to charge me again and charged me so much, so I phone to Expedia, and the Expedia agent phone to the front desk, the agent phoned to the front desk 2 times, the front desk said will try to find my booking, finally he find my booking, so I no need to pay extra, but it already wastes me a lot for time! We waited at the lobby for one hour for him to settle down the issue. It’s really a bad experience. ||Talking about the room, it’s not clean, there are cheerios left from previous customers on the floor, also many hairs all over the room, on the floor, even on the towels, there are hairs. One of the drawers is broken. ||We book the room for 4 people, but they just provided 2 big towels, one medium and one small towel, I need to ask them for extra towels everytime! (as we stayed there for 3 nights). Also, they don’t have breakfast provided. There are only 2 lights in the room, not enough lighting, the ice machine is not working.||It takes more than 10 minutes to walk to the nearest subway station, but there is a bus stop on the...
Read moreWhile the lobby looked cozy, the room itself was extremely cramped and poorly cleaned. There were stains on the furniture and parts of the walls were sticky with some unknown substance. One of the nightstands had an open box of condoms, a bra, pair of men's underwear, and various other clothes from the previous guests still inside. When I brought the issue up to the front desk, all that I was given a plastic bag to put the items in.||The complimentary breakfast was also underwhelming. Cereal, bread, yogurt, (watery) oatmeal, apples, and a single waffle maker were all that was available. Gnats were flying all over the bread and the apples. The orange juice that was dispensed had the coloration of apple cider, while the apple juice looked like water. Despite no other guests being present for breakfast, the coffee, forks, and syrup were all empty and no one was around to refill them. ||Miscellaneous other issues include the extremely limited parking, with space for a maximum of 4 cars in the lot. Because it was so cramped, getting in and out was a struggle for our minivan. The Wi-Fi was weak and often took numerous attempts to connect. The TV was disproportionately small (marginally larger than the average computer monitor) compared to the dresser it sat on. The door keys were also extremely finicky, and any time one of us went to get a replacement key card, the other stopped working. ||All-in-all, we paid ~$200 a night for this room and it most definitely was not worth...
