Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in New York

We came 6 ppl Service was late!!! Salmon and chicken breast was extremely overcooked, shrimp was undercooked plus a horrible taste. Ashley was the best waitress!! But is not her fault of the employees bad service in the back! She was in charge of so many table,, plus each table ordered so many time and so many stuff, she was like seriously busy but even that She was extremely really nice and even try to fix the situation! And tried to make us fell good. This place needs to hire more employees. We asked for the "manager" never came, instead sent the "supervisor" Sean Wallace! Horrible! This guy is so unprofessional, we talk about the service in the back and every plate was very late, food was bad, he didn't even care, we told him that Ashley the waitress was the only good service we received! He replied saying " I wouldn't go so far with her cause shes not really that good"! That was not nice of him, cause we are the ones given the opinions. We told him that the shrimp was horrible he replied saying (I know, I wouldn't eat that cause it looks like they took then from the Frozen bags and deep fried.. I wouldn't eat that... Saying I do apologise for that). BS The problem was never fixed.

First thing they have to do is change the "manager" (not professional) Never came to the table to face the problem then change the ""supervisor"" Sean Wallace! The worse supervisor ever! Once we told him the complains he went back to his place to make jokes and acting like he doesn't care. They didn't even know if we were just Supervising the place, them, service and food.

This applebees is short in service! They need to get more ppl to work! We hope they get better cause reviews are to get better! I went to different applebees and service is 100 percent good no complain at all but this one is horrible! We will Never come here again!......

I never thought I would write this about this AppleBee location. I took my family out to eat for Sunday dinner because I wasn’t up to cooking. The 1st issue was..We asked could 1 side be changed for allergy reasons. We were told “No you can’t change broccoli for green beans.” We took it in strive and still went on with ordering. 2nd issue..We order regular beverages and 1 drink from the bar. One of the regular beverages was out and we were not offered a substitute. We were told “you can have this blue mountain instead because we are out of the original one”. Okay we still took the evening in strive. 3rd issue..The food arrives to the table cold, under cooked and extremely salty. Especially the kids meal, it was cold like out of the fridge. 4th issue..We said something the waitress she sucked her teeth and told us the food was correct. 5th issue & the icing on The cake….3 people from the party of 4 get up to go to the bathroom and the waitress asked did we pay the bill. Mind you my husband was still sitting at the table with all our coats and his drink. I told the young lady yes on the app and I also left a tip. She walked over to the computer at the middle to see if I was lying. And YES I walked over with her to watch her do it. Then I told her have a good night..Just be mindful when you go on the weekends because you do not get the same service as the weekdays.

My husband & I go regularly on the weekdays with friends for dinner or happy hour. And nothing like this has ever happened to us. It’s always a pleasure and the drinks/food are good. We have been dealing with this location even before they moved from being next to Marshals on 225th to the corner of 225th and broadway. The quality of staff on the weekends has...

Y'know how they say Millenials are killing Applebee's and places like it? There's a reason for that. It's because Applebee's isnt good. They're not terrible, but they arent good. I went here with my gf after doing some shopping in the area. We were sat down promptly and had a waitress take our order for appetizers right away, which were good. the appetizers were just fine. The problem was they were the best part of the meal. My girl ordered a pasta dish which was bland and i ordered a sizzling chicken plate that was overcooked to hell. It took forever to get a waitress to address these issues with, and when we did, we were asked if we wanted a replacement and declined, simply asking for our check. It took another 20 minutes of waiting and harassing a bus boy to get our waitress just to get the check.

Applebee's is by no means terrible, but service aside, if the food really does taste that disappointing at each location, it's no wonder ya'll are struggling. I know each franchise is handled differently and maybe your experiences at another location might be better but...for comparisons sake, the saturday we went to applebees, between 2 drinks, an appetizer platter and 2 entrees, our bill was about $72, without tip. In comparison, the next day we went to a popular ramen spot in union square, got 2 drinks, 2 appetizers and 2 large bowls of ramen, and our bill, without tip, was $61, and all the food was delicious.
