This time I will give it a star for the bad treatment I received on November 12th 2024. I was waiting in line to pay for my groceries, there were a lot of people, they announced that line number 14 was open, I was standing next to it and I saw the cashier who was talking to another one hugging and laughing and doing everything super slow, I approached her and kindly asked her if I could remove the gate (my intention was to put my groceries on the belt while she finished counting and mind you they had already announced over the microphone that the line was open and they turned the light) and the woman told me with a disgusting attitude that it was not open and I went back and asked her if she was going to open so I could put my things in and she again answered me with a bad attitude that not yet (and the line was already behind me) there I got upset because it is not the attitude that should be given to the customer and I removed the sign and began to put my groceries on the conveyor belt and on purpose she was counting the coins slowly with the intention of making me have a bad time, and the cashier looked at me and made fun of me. she started charging, she never offered me a bag, she threw my groceries very ugliness, I put my groceries in the cart without a bag and I didn't want to explode or say something because I was super upset and I didn't want to act in a negative way in front of my little one because those are not the values that I teach her. In the end I just told her that if she didn't want to work, she should stay home, because it was after 4 in the afternoon and she was already arriving with a negative attitude. I went to the manager and told her and she didn't seem to care much. I've been a customer for years and it never happened to me like this, I never saw the cashier laughing in my face because she wanted to do it. I'm really disappointed and I hope the owner gives his employees some lessons in...
Read moreThe customer service here has completely gone out the window. I've shopped here for over 20 years, if my mind doesn't fail me. Since they opened up. The cashiers use to be so friendly. They greeted you and asked you the simplest questions. Now, the cashiers don't greet you. They don't make eye contact. They don't ask if you need bags and they also do not pack your groceries when you ask for bags. They throw your stuff to the side so that you can pack them and when they're done scanning your items, they just stand there looking clueless. Instead of letting you know they're done and giving you the total, they just stand there without saying a word. It is when you're done packing that you become aware that they're done scanning. Again, not a word. This is not the first time witnessing this behavior. After years of shopping here, we decided it was time to part ways. Customer service is very important to us. The two stars is for the hispanic gentleman who took the time to help me in finding the items I needed. He was very polite. Oh! and what's with the baskets? There were two elderly women with roller walkers with seats who needed the baskets and were told they no longer have baskets. Did management think about the elderly and disabled individuals inability to push a shopping cart before removing the baskets? It's the little things that make a huge difference.
Do better for the community that keeps your businesses doors open. Train your cashiers on customer service etiquette.
Did I mention they're very pricey and never buy...
Read moreSo. A couple weeks ago I went into the store to pick something up for dinner with my wife. I forgot to grab it at another store and had a bag of groceries from said store with me because I commute by train. No security guard grabbed my bag to make sure I was coming in with anything suspicious. I grabbed the one item and rung it up, then left.
On my way out, a security guard called out to me to tell me that I "left something behind." The manager grilled me on the things I had. My not so great luck caused me to miss where my receipt was (it hung outside my pocket as I dug into my pocket for it...that's a fault I'll claim).
Thankfully I had an electronic receipt but what I didn't appreciate was the lack of consistent security to keep people accountable (and I would have complied if asked to hand in my bags, etc.) and the fact that the manager didn't apologize for the inconvenience (which was true; I stole nothing and even another customer said they would have said what they had seen me do-nothing at all). They advised me to turn the bag in next time and that was my first time in the store. How does anyone know exactly what to do the first time they come into a store without extra guidance? I don't want to go to a store that does something offensive.
Otherwise, the store has items that are easy to buy. So I guess there's that. Now, ramp up security and believe in the integrity of law...
