Armando's Pizza — Restaurant in New York

Armando's was, is, and forever will be, the KING OF SICILIAN PIZZA! I didn't visit this place for many years, just because I didn't live too close. When I tried Armando's again, some 25 years after my Canarsie days, the pizza was at least as good as I remembered. Let's start with the crust. It's always fresh; not par-baked for speed, like most pizzerias. It is always light and airy. The sauce is bursting with flavor, too. You can taste the quality of the tomato sauce and the perfect blend of seasonings. To top it off, there's the cheese: an abundance of stretchy, delicious mozzarella that goes on for days, yet never seems like too much. I have put toppings on this pie, but it's really not necessary. In addition to this phenomenon of pizza perfection, Armando's makes quite a few other great items. Topping my list is the Margarita pie, with a fresh tomato sauce, fresh basil, fresh mozzarella, and a ring of sesame seeds around the crust. Their hero sandwiches are brought to another level by the delicious fresh bread upon which they create these masterpieces. I called for an order.I asked about paying with a card over the phone, because I ordered and paid over the phone in the past at this location . Rep said no cards over phone and hung up while I was explaining I will pay with cash. I called back to confirm my order and that I will be paying with cash. I waited for almost 2 hours. I called shop they are telling me the order wasn't done because I said I will pay with a card. This is so unprofessional and messed up I had my child waiting for all this time to be disappointed.I will never order at this location again and my whole household who orders here often will...

I’ve had the pizza before and it tasted great. Just their delivery service is complete trash... I live within 5 minutes driving distance of the place and it took them nearly two hours just to not deliver a medium pizza. I had to call 4 times once just to check on the status of my order just hear from them that they’re busy with other customers and that they only have one delivery driver. They basically lied the entire time saying it was out for delivery and up until I was getting ready to cancel the order I find out that the pizza has been sitting in the store the entire time.... it...
