Avocado Sushi — Restaurant in New York

I've been ordering from them occasionally over the year with no complaint, today is very disappointing. I ordered few different types of sushi rolls for delivery today. When I opened the box, I noticed there is a lot of extra sauce over the shrimp tempura rolls. After we started eating, my daughter mentioned to me "why is the avocado so dark" (she usually picks out her avocado). I started examining all the shrimp tempura roll pieces and noticed the avocado is rotten in about half of all the pieces. What makes me more upset is when I called the restaurant to make a complaint, the cashier was trying to cover things up by telling me that all their avocados are fresh. I told them I'm not trying to start trouble; I would like for the sushi chief to know that it's not acceptable to put bad avocados in the sushi and send them to your customer when you can clearly see that they are rotten. It's also not acceptable trying to hide the bad avocados by covering the sushi with extra dark sauce...Please don’t tell me you didn’t see it when you cut open the avocado…you didn’t see it when you cut the avocado into slices?...Then you managed not to see it when you place it on the roll?? The cashier said she would give me store credit for the shrimp tempura rolls I ordered…Honestly, I don’t know when I’ll be ready to order from this restaurant again. I don’t know what other sneaky...

I visited this place for the first time and my first impressions were amazing. Avocado sushi looks very modern, interior design bring comfort and relaxation, starting from nice, soft music and ending in great lighting and decorations. Waitresses are very polite and try to serve you well. We did order seafood soup, shumai, edamame, chicken teriyaki that came with salad and miso soup, and mochi ice-cream red bean flavor. All the food arrived fast, seafood soup was served in a very modern, geometrical bowl, it was very testy, even thought the sea food variety was kind of low compared to other places I went to. Miso and salad were great as well as edamame and shumai. I want to discuss chicken teriyaki and ice cream in more detail (actually this is the reason why I gave this place 3 STAR) - lets start with chicken teriyaki, I noticed that chicken there was not fresh and for the first time I saw the chicken masked with lots of garlic??? I did not pay attention to that and ate about three quarters of the dish - in about an hour I felt strong stomach pain. My wife did not wish to try it and she felt totally fine. Speaking about ice cream - it was frozen and tested as the old one that was forgotten in the freezer for long time. Ordered from this place once through seamless and it was DISGUSTING. If I had an option to give it no stars I would. The rolls and sashimi I ordered was NOT fresh and taste horrible ! The fish was hot, chewy and had a funny taste. I called the restaurant immediately, the woman on the phone did not know what to say, she then suggested that I pick the food out of the garbage so the delivery guy can pick it up and give me a replacement, then she told me that next time i place an order I should make specific request (for what exactly? - your guess is as good as mine) I asked for a refund she promised me the refund but I would have to contact to seamless and she will confirm my refund with them. Needless to say I contact seamless who called the restaurant and of course they denied everything they told me. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN and I will make sure to tell everyone I know. STAY AWAY...
