Not Just Bagels — Restaurant in New York

I've held off on leaving a review because this at one time was my go to spot (every single morning). And there was two workers there that were nice to me, but after getting screwed yet again and then seeing how so many people feel the same I just can't hold back anymore. The prices this thief charges is an absolute joke, a bacon egg and cheese that's 90% bread, 2 eggs (at best) and one piece of bacon (and this wasn't a one time thing, it's every time). Also, you can order the same thing 5 days in a row and get it completely different every single day and makes it a gamble to get food from them because you never know what version of the food you will receive. You can tell the owner is extremely cheap too, to his staff and customers. After being there on a really busy day my order came to $20.20, I had two $20 bills on me. Instead of taking the $20 because A. I come in every single morning for a couple of years and B. I tipped every single morning as well they ran around trying to find change so they can give me $19.80..... that was enraging. Also, depending on who rings you up, your price changes. It's just a mess and honestly I let it all slide but the owner in these reviews comes off as such a clown, he deserves the hate. If the owner wants to continue to act like customers are the problem then maybe he should get into something more recession proof, strip club perhaps? You're on Hylan Boulevard with 40 bagel spots surrounding you, I guess keep burying your head in the sand, I'll be excited to see what opens up at that...

They have a great product, everything’s fresh and tastes great, however customer service is TRASH, ordered yesterday for lunch they fcked up my order, okay no problem, I’ve had a job in service mistakes happen, tell me I need to come back to fix the issue, okay fine should send a driver but no problem, head back, woman has the nerves to tell me it’s about a dollar extra... you make the mistake and I drive back to get it fixed and you want to charge me the dollar difference? The counter workers tried to tell me to take the dollar since it’s her mistake, no that’s okay if the business needs the dollar take the dollar. Today wake up early before work to go get a sandwich, potatoes and eggs on a roll, I get home, there is a total of 2 on one side and 3 on the other, 5 potatoes, call up man on the phone nice about it woman who I dealt with and made the sandwich just as nasty as she was when I was in there 10 minutes ago, starts fighting with me on it, “how many did you want” more than 5 “you counted?” What drugs are you on? I don’t write reviews, this was enough for me to literally sit down and waste my time writing one; some workers are very nice and if there’s a mistake the apologize through the teeth to the point where you feel bad that you even brought it up, others are nasty behind belief when they make a mistake, Foods good,...

Friendly, good service, great food, always fresh and just how you like it. Great place for sweets too.

Minor things will bother you but they are seriously minor. You're going to wait a little for your yummy goodness because you can't rush perfection. The staff could be a little more specific to ask you what type of milk you would like in your coffee but at times just make it and given the line and the wait, don't worry just enjoy it, because anyway you slice it, its going to be good anyway and its good to climb out of your nest of the usual. The cooking stations don't have good ventilation, even with the door opened, so just be prepared to continue smelling like what's been cooking and if anyone asks you say yes, you just got done cooking breakfast for friends or family. Seriously though, if you honestly have anything negative to say about this little gem on the island, shame on you. Nothing in life is perfect but these guys do their best to come very close. Make the trip, park your car and come in with a smile and enjoy because these awesome people are seriously Not Just Bagels... ❤
