We just ate at the Colonnade, neighborhood go to, the service was fine. But I will go to Max Esca's or Ralph's place or Trackside in the future for a descent salad in the neighborhood. The bill was unreal. I know the economy and things have changed but I can't get over the shock. Although the waiter showed me the price on the menu after we ate we literally fell of my seat. In good taste i agreed to pay and leave. Left a hefty tip and was absolutely disgruntel.
When we arrived and order we didn't look at the prices just ordered a regular dish we have ordered before. It was out in a jiffy we were grateful but the salad was disappointing.
Caesars salad which consisted of maybe if a total 1/6 of a head of Roman lettuce with maybe 25 croutons and was flabbergasted when the bill appeared was 15.95 and if you had chicken it would have been additional. Oh my gosh honestly it was less than half a plate single layer spread out and no chick peas like the waiter pointed out the price from the menu after the fact. The dressing was no big deal funny it was on each pieces of lettuce on the plate. I still can't get over it. As I peruse all the salads I swear they were all over priced. I guess this is what you get when you forget your glasses in the car.
grilled cheese and side which was less money 12.50 was delightful
In shock the prices for a small side salad...
Read moreThe food was good. I had the turkey dinner special my son had prime rib, my daughter had. An open faced roast beef and my wife had breakfast. No complaints about the food. However I had the worst waitress in the history of service industry. She immediately had a puss face on when coming to our table to take our order. I get it your working Thanksgiving your not happy but most people will realize that and tip you Well. After serving us our food and refilling my wife's coffee we never saw her again. Didn't check to see how we are doing or if the food was ok. Didn't refill my wife's coffee or any of our beverages. After about 40 minutes of not seen the waitress again at our table I finally went and grabbed the hostess and told her what was going on. When the waitress came over to us she was completely sarcastic and fake nice and continue this charade the next 10 minutes as my family tried to get our stuff together and leave the other way staff did nothing to correct her behavior or apologize for her behavior. Figuring that she had blown her tip she continues with the fake niceness so I left her a $10 tip on a $50 bill as a note saying please use the tip to learn...
Read moreI did visit this place for the first time during COVID-19 pandemic witch is unfortunate, but fortunate at the same time because not that many places open during pandemic even for outdoor dining. First things first, they have a pretty nice terrace with many tables and umbrellas plus nice soft sofas and great view at Hyland BLvd traffic. We got served pretty fast and got our coffees momentarily. The guy running with coffee were coming to us hundreds of times offering more coffee which is nice, but at some points when we needed refill for real he was disappearing like James Bond. Waitresses look nice and polite. Menu is pretty widespread and nicely plated. We got ham omelette and shrimp salad sandwich. Omelette came not fresh at all, potato felt prepared like two days before is was served. We complained about it and was promptly noted that they cooked it fresh each two hours (tell me about that). My sandwich looked pretty fresh and testy with cole slaw and very vinegary pickles. What I did not like is that all the waitresses wearing masks with their noses sticking out (WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE FACE MASK IN...
