I ran here this morning in search of a solid b.e.c near me and open at 6am. Never been or heard of. My absolute GO TO is Brooklyn bagel and coffee. I will now stick with my go to from here on out— this isn’t to say this is a bad last minute bagel shop. Over all I had a good experience here. Though, the guy taking my order did not ask for specifics on my bacon egg and cheese. No “how do you want your eggs cooked, what type of cheese” etc. I do prefer soft scrambled. But it was too late to mention as he was already on the griddle. I appreciated the hastiness. Now, the bagel was a bit small, though the flavors were 10/10 of the sandwich. Absolutely great. BUT would I pay 9.50 for a bacon egg and cheese plus a bare everything bagel? Never again. I’m so sad I did. This store has a $10 credit card minimum. The reviews and google menu indicated $5.00 for a sandwich with egg and cheese. Come to find bacon is $2.00 extra. And at that. You need to meet a price minimum. Only 45% of adults under 50 carries cash on them at a given time. Newsflash, we are in a digital world. The consumer should not be held responsible for business fees. Now, I get that you have a fee to pay, but apparently you (didn’t have to pay it or did you) charging me $9.50 instead of $10 isn’t doing me a favor; this is absolutely crazy. I feel ashamed to pay so much for a breakfast sandwich and I honestly should have just went with Mac Donald’s or Brooklyn bagel where I could have gotten wayyy more for my money and an enjoyable experience. Again, ok if ur in a crunch and have cash on you but I wouldn’t go out of my...
Read moreI had to select a star rating in order to send my review other then that it would of stood as a zero. I spent over $25 on four bagels. The bagels were hard and dry, it was not what I had expected from reading other reviews about these “amazing bagels.” The customer service was the worst part. The mother and daughter were so rude and snobby. They kept getting my order wrong and was giving me an attitude about it as if it was my fault. The daughter took my order first then the mother had intervened and gave me an attitude about it and started talking to me as if I was a child. I did not feel comfortable nor did I feel as if I was being treated as a valued customer. At arrival I was not greeted instead my family and I were given an annoyed look. I had asked what of types of bagels did they have I was told by the young lady to walk to the back and see. There were other known customers to the cashier and she was able to let the customer Know the types of bagels they had available. My fourteen year old daughter felt the same and express how she felt as if she was being discriminated and judge. You know you who are because you hesitated to give me my receipt until I asked for it. I will not be returning back to this bagel store. I hope other people who have experienced the same situation will speak up. You shouldn’t be treating...
Read moreBagels are ok, interesting variety of cream cheeses...coffee is disappointing however :-( I sooo wanted this neighborhood to finally have a great hipster cafe where you can sit down with your laptap or book...it already looks like one outside, but not inside. The staff is friendly and efficient but have not been trained well to make good coffee. Inside space had great potential for cozy coffee tables, but the counter was built way too big for the floor space, and the rest of the place is filled with giant TVs and soda refrigirators. You can't compete on bagels alone when you have Dunkin Donuts across the street. The place has potential to be much more cozy and invite customers to stay once dining restrictions are lifted. Get rid of sports TV and hire a good barista and this place would be booming! Also the hours are weird...opens late, closes at different times depending on day (or family emergencies)....I never know if I can go there and...
