Russo Bakery — Restaurant in New York

I don’t know what’s wrong with the obese woman with glasses behind the counter. I have to ask her what time is best to come in… before or after she eats because I really can’t figure out when or if she’s just rude because something happened to her or if that’s her personality. Either way, the last time I was here I spent upwards of $200+ on several pounds of cookies….. I should have walked out when she told me “stop pointing and just say what you want” well PARDON ME, maybe I have vocal chord paralysis, I’m partially deaf and also have a speech impediment and you just don’t hear me when I say the name of the cookie, the pastry or cake and unfortunately pointing in a bakery is an old habit us New Yorkers have….. SO THANK YOU… she even did that to me years ago when I ordered several disgusting cakes…. I don’t know why I keep allowing myself to believe Italian bakeries can make a fresh cake because they all taste old and the whipped icing is stale. Come to think of it, I should have used my middle finger to point to what I wanted….. and then proceed to tell her to sit on it although that’s not smart because I would lose a hand in an elephants _.

I won’t be returning. I refuse to be abused by a business owner. Especially in 2024 with inflation. I can see if the prices were really good and I just laugh it off like I did the several times this has happened but that’s not the case. Eat a snickers...

Overpriced as hell, food is dry, and there attitudes are something else. Just went there, and they didn't have an Italian Ice, so I kindly said no thank you, because I'm allergic to all their flavors, and I don't even like Gelatos anyway. She said "I don't even care about your money, spend it at the pizzeria for a freaking Italian Ice." Like the freaking attitudes are something else! That's not all, there are many other things with their attitudes. Never going there again. The old cow (who I'm assuming is the owner) had the worst attitude of them all. Cookies get me sick also....

What is wrong with all of you people. That place has horrible stuff , rude and nasty owners, never seen them greet you with smile and their product is not so great either . Dry cookies , coffee is so-so . Why would you give 4-5 stars .they are lucky Im giving them one . I don't step a foot in the place for over 3 years never will , won't recommend it to anyone who...
