I went today to customer service asking to exchange a pair of echo buds that I got 10 days ago since one of them is not working. I spoke to a young guy about it and obviously he did the right thing, asked me for my membership card, after that he checked for the model number inside the echo buds case trying to compare with the model number on the echo buds box and he told me that it is not the same, right away he asked a young lady next to his register to compare the numbers and she said it is not the same, this young guy was trying to give me back the item while asking me if I speak Spanish assuming that I am not understanding what they are trying to say, so I asked him are you telling me that I am trying to steal and he said YES, I asked for his manager, so the manager another young lady came and without approaching me, she just came to review the item make a call and said yes it’s fine and left, the guy told me I am going to give you store credit when I originally ask to exchange it, at the end he handed me a new item and I asked him to open the new one and check for the model or serial number in case this one will give me the same problem and I will have to return, he opened and I said aloud to the young lady next to him, this has the same problem as the other one the model number are not the same, I said exactly so I am not trying to steal right? At the end not even a sorry, so disappointed. Btw I came home and I realized the box and the case have the same model number, so please train your customers service or manager better. Thanks.

I welcome BJs in our neighborhood and love them for what they have to offer so far. Clean interior and friendly staff must be thanked a lot. I just want to bring some concerns for your further success, but its not a complaint at all. (1) BJs could keep its surroundings cleaner and tidier since we want them to succeed and flourish. Trolleys are not organized and its dirty outside within its vicinity. Kindly give your attention, it will surely get far better. (2) Thanks for sending Coupon Books regularly, that's informational but not really helpful. All of us customers are paid members of the club, hence, wouldn't it be more user friendly if these coupons are automatically discounted at the counters? I am sure you can link those coupons to your esteemed club members' membership cards, that automatically discounted while at check-out counters rather than making members cut every single coupon and present at the counters, that will avoid hassles to your reputed members and can surely benefit from these discount coupons?! I'm sure you can do it in this electronic age and mature from paper-based age. It will also cut down your printing and shipping costs and reduce paper waste to save trees and make our environment better?! Worth it. I see a lot of improvements around the BJ's complex already, that's a brilliant and socially responsible act. Bravo!

Having being members at both Costco and Sam's Club, I have certain expectation on this very first visit. This BJ location is right across from H Mart and off from Northern Blvd, so it is very accessible by car. Parking is free with sufficient space. Inside is a typical warehouse ambiance - high ceiling, humongous space, and no flare. I can adamantly say I am not thrilled by the findings during this visit. First, there is no cafe to sit down and eat like SC and Costco. There is also no sampling to speak of. No pharmacy either. Prices appear to be higher than SC for the items I can recall. Sales items require for me to explicitly "clip" coupons using the BJ app - what a pain! Only a few surprises to the upside: that they do have $4.99 3 lb rotisserie chicken despite I've never heard about such, that they have smaller bulk e.g. single serving Cape Cod potato chips, they have a deli counter, and that they accept manufacturers coupons. Despite these standouts, unless you have no access to either Sam's Club or Costco, I wouldn’t recommend.

I've had a number of unpleasant experiences here. One of the security guards who checks the receipts at the exit is very rude and condescending. If there is a mistake on the receipt, the customer service staff get angry/upset even though it wasn't your fault (it was the cashier's). One cashier said my name out loud for everyone to hear as he verified that I am the cardholder. He did not do that to other customers before or after me.

But the worst was my last visit where a cashier (blonde woman) sided with a rude customer against me. I was waiting for my turn at the register and reviewing my coupons. I would have been done in a few seconds but a man came directly at me and rudely told me to move and wake up. Without hesitation, the cashier sides with the rude customer and tells me I have to move even though there is another customer in front of me that she is taking care of. I move forward a few feet nonetheless but told the man behind me to have some patience and respect. Instead, he stood directly behind my cart and placed his bags on the conveyor. Total disregard of personal space.

When it was my turn, the cashier tells me with an attitude that all of the items have to be placed on the conveyor. How am I supposed to help you when I can't reach the conveyor because you, the cart, the monitor, and the man and his bags are all in the way? Also, several of the items were big/heavy, isn't it more practical to leave some in the cart?

When I realized I was short on cash (the total was more than I expected, near $200), the cashier told me she has to void the transaction and carelessly gave me the money back, letting the change drop on the floor. When I decided to remove one item and was ready for her, I let her know but another customer had just moved up to her. She told me I had to wait... but I had enough. I moved to another register and the cashier there was more respectful and polite.

The behavior of the rude customer and the first cashier was uncalled for. There were 3-4 cashiers and no more than 1-2 customers at each line at the time. After this experience, I am considering going elsewhere where I am appreciated and respected. Any savings to be had are really not worth the blatant disrespect and gaslighting, not to mention the enabling of bullies and toxic people here.

To anyone who defends the staff here: if they are nice to you, good for you but that doesn't mean they are nice to everyone. I shouldn't have to be the target of their...

Today 4/9/2021 I went into BJ's to buy groceries and was mistreated by the fat man who check the receipt when u are leaving. He took my receipt as usual and began searching my bags with his dirty gloves. Why is this a rule where he had to touch my food period. It's Covid time and I need to protect my children at all times so I will not return. $55 membership just went down the drain bcz I am not returning back. This never happened to me before in the years I have been a memeber. Thanks to Ms. Balinda this situation was fixed. Thank you

Update: Last week (Nov. 2023) I was shopping at BJ's and while I was at self checkout I saw a few FIREFIGHTERS shopping. I overheard them saying that they forgot their BJ's card which they explained to the female worker and she told them to go to customer service. It was unacceptable to me so I helped them. The point is, WHY SHOULD FIRST RESPONDERS ALWAYS HAVE TO HAVE THEIR MEMBERSHIP CARDS IN ORDER TO GET FOOD WHEN THEY NEED TO BE ON TIME TO SAVE LIFE'S? WHY NOT HAVE A WORKER HELP THEM SO THEY CAN BE AVAILABLE FOR EMERGENCIES? BJ'S YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR POLICIES TO ACCOMMODATE FIRST RESPONDERS.

Update 1/6/2025, my privacy is not protected here at all bcz at the checkout other customers are too close where they are looking at my total $$ on the computer that makes no sense to be in that location. It should be changed because I am tired of telling people to back up out of my pace and to...
