Horrible service today! I’ve been coming to breadsmith for over 3 years now they did start of very well. The staffs who use to be there was very knowledgeable about the products and they would make the most beautiful baskets and dessert platters which I USED to order for my DOE staffs. I used to go every Friday morning at 7am for a strucle challah and the staff where the best. Today I visited and the NEW STAFF knew nothing! Instead of helping me as a customer he was to busy on his phone texting and laughing with the other workers even when I asked for help he says to me hold on. What? This store has been so disorganized no friendly service anymore and absolutely no smiling faces that cares to know you as a customer. Chaim the owner is an okay person but I never see him around before there was a girl there would would take care of all complaints and even went out her way to help us as a customer she used to make my platters so lovely slice the breads with the dips for my department now no one seems to care that the breads are hard the little rolls are on the FLOOR or the pretzel and muffins has little food flies ON THEM no one knows about the platters or cares to ask and when I said the girl used to make it the worker said well she’s not here anymore. . MANAGEMENT BRING BACK YOUR OLD STAFF THAT CARED ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS OR TRAIN YOUR NEW ONES TO HAVE RESPECT FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS. I will make sure my DOE WORKERS knows the disrespect I received today and I will never again enter...
Read moreI have been going to Breadsmith on Avenue M for over 5 years. Their products are delicious, but their service has reached an all time low! I always go on Fridays, morning or early afternoon. Over the past 6 months their service has gotten progressively horrible! The employees are young, untrained, and simply do not care. And it was not a fluke on a bad day. It is consistently bad. Whether the employees are on their phone with personal calls while there’s a line of people, or they over charge because they do not know their products, or they leave half the items out of the bag… the list goes on. There seems to be no manager around or simply anyone who cares. I hate that I am writing this review. I literally never leave a bad review anywhere! I love their products and have gotten many of my friends to become regulars. As someone who manages people and a business, I know I would never tolerate this level of incompetence. And I would be grateful to anyone letting me know. My experience has gotten so bad that I am afraid I can longer be a customer. Which is a big shame because they have great products. And I know from speaking to other customers the frustrations are equally shared. I really hope they can get...
Read moreBe prepared for exceptionally rude and discourteous treatment if you patronize this place. I went in at 7 AM the day before Rosh HaShanah to purchase challah for the holiday. The staff was busy socializing, and ignored me as I waited to be served. When I requested service, I was told in a rude and aggressive tone told to "wait" and then "just forget it". I left the store and went across the street to Pressers, where they are much more polite. Late in the day, I called to complain, spoke with the manager Ariel, who apologized and offered to deliver the challah to my home. That never happened. When I called again around five pm, I was told no delivery was available, then I was told I would have to accept day old challah and no complaints would be accepted, and then I was told delivery would take place the next morning, provided they received prepayment. As all three options were unacceptable, I told them to forget about it. I can't tell you if the challah is good or not, since I never saw it. But I can tell you these people are rude, unprofessional, and no baked goods are worth this type of...
