Brewski's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in New York

I went here with my spouse & had a terrible experience. Immediately after walking in 2 white males sitting at the bar stared at us like we had 3 heads each which made me feel unwelcome. I was expecting the hosted to greet us at the door & sit us at a table but she was MIA. I proceed to go up to the bartender & ask him if we could have a seat anywhere we wanted, he greeted us by saying "what's up?" Which in my opinion is very unprofessional. I happen to notice a private party taking place where the booths were so I ask him if it was okay if we sat there & he replied yes. As soon as I sat down the waitress appeared & to us we couldn't sit there, egg on my face. We ended up sitting on the high tables near the bar section. We waiting about 10min before we finally got menus. When the waitress showed up she wasn't to hospitable. She took our orders which were incorrect in the first place. I got my wife burger with here fries on my plate & my burger was on her place with my chips. She didn't check on us to make sure everything was okay & never once bother to refill my cup of water. It was only after we ask for the check when she ask us if everything was okay. In conclusion the food was decent but the service was horrendous. I went to this establishment because I heard it was a Giants bar. This is a local bar where many local folks go. They aren't friendly or welcoming I highly doubt I'll be coming back to this place. The only reason why I am giving this place 2 stars is because the waitress Liz is amazing. However, we went there 2 weeks ago and another waitress by the name of Nicole had a nasty attitude and it didn’t seem she wanted to take care of us. We kept having to try catching her attention for napkins or even for another drink. Why leave your house if you going to go somewhere and not get serviced. At some point I got her attention and asked her for another beer and I told her give me the bill aswell because you guys are taking to long and she didn’t even apologize which you will assume that’s what great customer service should be. She brings us the bill and walks away ones again. We then decided to order another drink and we called her back to the table after 10 mins waiting and told her we wanted another round and also told her we been waiting for a while for her to come back to the table. She seems to be upset and her response was that ones people order the bill they don’t order anything else and walks away and leaves us with the word in our mouth. I even asked her for her name and didn’t even give me an answer. She seems to be very comfortable that nothing will be done to her that she can just treat people that way so why not share my experience and write a review so that you guys can be aware . Not much to be said about this establishment. It looks nice from the outside and is decent looking on the inside, however, when we asked for no bacon on our burger and sandwich, the bartender didn't bother to make sure that we didn't have bacon on our burger and sandwich.

After we receive our food, there was absolutely no customer service from anyone behind the bar. We had to call them repeatedly to provide a beverage and then utensils. It was almost a feeling like they didn't want to be bothered. Most of the bartenders were too busy having conversation with the other bar patrons to inquire if we were good or needed anything. One of the people in my party didn't have a beverage and was never offered a beverage, even up till we paid for the bill.

The only bartender/barback that was somewhat helpful was Peter. His attitude towards us was a lot more palatable and friendly. So, thank you Peter for making the experience a 2-star instead of a 1-star.

I would assume all the good reviews about Brewski's was by friends, family or people who find it convenient to just visit there, but I'm not sure.

I would not recommend this establishment based on this first and last experience with them. But, depending on how important customer service is to you, will determine if you like this...
