Vegan Grill — Restaurant in New York

The first time I ordered here I was excited to try it. It took over two hours to receive my order then when I called Seamless magically my order appears. I noticed they forgot something so I called in to speak with someone, the first woman yelled at me about what they forgot then I hear someone yelling at her in the background. Soon that person was on the phone I said hello he said “yea what happened” in a nasty tone I said well I was explaining you guys forgot a part of my order, he cut me off started yelling about what he forgot then said well driver is going now then hung up on me.

The food was absolutely great so despite the service and two hour wait we ordered again another time two weeks later. We were worried about the service but instead the food came on time and it was something different I was so disappointed. I ordered the exact same chicken sandwich from last time instead they put three chicken fingers and thought this was the same. Or maybe a person wouldn’t notice? I couldn’t get in touch with them and refused to show up at the place given the past service. The most consistent thing I hear is how nasty they treat people on the phone. I called for pick-up over the phone. I made two orders. The first order was an impossible burger with American cheese, LTO, mayonnaise with a side of fries The second order was a grill cheese sandwich with jalapeños and avocado.

While placing my order the guy on the phone kept interrupting me after every word to ask me “vegan or regular?”. He literally wouldn’t let me get a word in until I picked one.

When i went into the store to pick up my food the guy was encouraging me to spend more money before charging me for my food. Anyways coming home after picking up my food I was so disappointed. The impossible burger only had one small slice of cheese on it. There was only one slice of tomato and some lettuce as well. I had to add tomatoes, onions and mayo to myself to my burger. The grill cheese didn’t even have a whole slice of cheese in it. It was literally just a jalapeño sandwich.

It was my first and will be my last time ordering from this Vegan store. I might try Saba Quality across the street next time i’m in the mood...

We order “Hot Wings”, “Chicken Parm sandwich” and “impossible burger”.

Impossible burger 🍔 was decent tasted like a Burger King kind of flavor. Chicken parm was not terrible but it wasn’t amazing. The hot wings is were I have a problem. 5 whatever those nugget puck things were for $15 is outrageous. I can get regular chicken wings for $5.99. 🤔😑They were dry and the sauce was the only thing ok about it.

I’ve had vegan wings before from Caribbean places, uptown juice bar and a vegan Thai restaurant and I never thought this would be called a wing. To make setian “meat” you literally just wash flour and mold it around a bamboo stick in the shape of a drumstick. 😬
