Northside Coffee — Restaurant in New York

I've eaten here and ordered over 200x by now. Sometimes I annoy them but I think its ok because they have yet to mess up an order. It's usually an Egg bacon avocado on sourdough. I wanna say it's called the New Yorker. It just comes right every time. Each ingredient cooked and proportioned properly. You have to appreciate the consistency. I order sometimes 3-4x a week and it almost gets better each time. Sounds crazy seeing as it's just a bacon egg avocado but it's never sloppy or messed up, ever

You could argue they have the best coffee on the block by their espresso machine alone but I digress. Espresso can be finicky and unless you are training the staff, dialing in the grinder and properly cleaning the equipment, your shots can be compromised but I have yet to find that at Northside. They pull a great shot. They understand coffee and the prices are reasonable all around

I assume that they are using Sambazon açaí as it tastes a step above all the other businesses serving açaí and for that, I appreciate their attention to quality.

The chicken soup is tasty. That's all I can vouch for at the moment. They are consistent, fast and friendly. What a coffee shop should be.

Best coffee on the island, hands down. Also, using the right equipment to make the coffee. There are several shops in the area but the stark difference, Northside has Feco for drip and La Marcozza for espresso. Industry standard for the perfect cup. Also, they use Oslo coffee. Sick of the same shops using the same distributor or not even showing what they're using. If you can take away anything from the cafes in BK and the city is, people want to know the roasters and Northside does not let you down. If you are looking for a 'not a Starbucks' coffee shop, Northside Coffee fits the bill. A cozyish almost eclectic little coffee shop with a dark modern feel. More than coffee Northside Coffee has a lunch menu, fresh juice and not to be outdone, micro brews. Coffee was pretty solid - not masterful but better than average.
