Extremely rude and disrespectful lab tech. I stopped by 5 minutes to closing to drop off a specimen for my child. I signed in and waited to be called. I apologized to the tech for coming so late but explained how I had just gotten off of work and had to rush over (as they do not have a drop off box outside). She seemed frustrated and said "you know, you come last minute with all these papers" (for 3 specimens) Again, I say "I know, but I just got off of work and had to rush over and these tests are extremely important." She sarcastically replied with "oh good".. She then asks me to "sign and print name" (in a heavy accent). As I begin to sign, I ask "Did you want me to sign my name and print my daughter's name?" She YELLS "SIGN and print name" so basically we're going back and forth because I told her I understand that I have to SIGN but what I'm asking is am I printing MINE or my DAUGHTER'S name as I am NOT the patient! Again, she YELLS and says "I SAID SIGN AND PRINT NAME!" So you could imagine how annoyed I am at this point because she's clearly not understanding the question. Especially after I told her I couldn't understand her (because of her accent but I did not want to be offensive). She then says "yeah, it must be difficult for you to understand things". Really?!?! Is that how you talk to patients?? I said "what did you just say??" She replies with "Nothing. You're done." Of course, her name tag was strategically hanging backwards so that I could not see her name. I meant to ask for it but was just so annoyed and frustrated that I ended up storming out. Had the test not been so crucial, I would have just gone to a different lab. Disgusting attitude...
Read moreI went to this Quest to have my one year olds blood drawn. These people clearly are not trained to work in the laboratory field at all. I’ve been a Medical Laboratory Technician now Technologist for 10 years and one of the most important things you are always taught during the blood drawing process is to disinfect your area before and after seeing patients. I was highly disappointed that the phlebotomist did not even attempt to wipe down her station. She even mentioned to my husband to keep his mask on (my one year old kept pulling it off) because they had already seen 50 patients that day. During a time like this when we are dealing with COVID-19 infection control and the safety of patients should be of the utmost concern. Do NOT go to this facility if they are not taking the right precautions. Even the customer service was horrible, which I can deal with, but...
Read moreI previously gave this a negative review but I'm going to bump it up to three stars. If you have to use a place like this, let me tell you what you have to do exactly to get fast service. Do it in this order.
Have your doctor fax over the referral for your blood work before you get there.
Don't bother with an appointment. Go exactly at the time when it opens as a walk in.
Fill out your information on the iPad.
Wait for your name to be called you will see it probably on a TV in front of you with a wait time.
When you see the technician who was the only person there by the way make sure that you tell him you faxed over referral.
You should be in and out right away.
He has to be patient with the fact that they only staff one person in this place.
Expect your wait time to be anywhere from what they tell you two up to an hour but once they see you you should be out...
