I have beening coming here for a long time. The food, drinks, and service were always great. We noticed something is different recently. We love the new warm salad on the menu that they added. Came back and order again last month but we were told it is sold out. It was 11:30am at the time, not sure how this item was sold out. We ordered something else and it was good as usual. Yesterday, we came here again and want to order this "New"item (warm salad). It is not sold out! Yay! But when we got our salad, it was the size of a side salad!!! There were 6 shrimps, a few cherry tomatos, small diced chicken, chopped pieces of asparagus, 4 pieces of spinch! 4 pieces... 4 leaves. This is a 16 bucks salad. We asked for more salad and we were told they are out of salad. So....should we be told? or get a discount from this order? We were extremely disappointed and might not go back again. The place also smell musky like a...
Read moreUnhelpful, rude and excruciatingly slow. Also, tastes bad- it took twenty minutes to get coffee - yes, plain coffee, and even longer to get two eggs over a wannabe mcdonald’s hash brown.
Definitely one of the most disappointing experiences I have ever had in a place that has over 4 (completely undeserved) stars.
Gross- but let me be more detailed as the response from the cafe is not only untruthful but trifling.
The cafe gave my mother the dregs of the last pot (gross #1) then made us wait 20 min for the next cup. The pots are designed to brew and pull, and on a sunday morning you would think you would be prepared and attentive to how much coffee is in the pot.
My mother and I ordered the same item. Neither of us finished our plates- i managed 3 bites before the combination of tepidly seasoned hash brown and balsamic syrup made me gag.
Asking for money back for one plate was more than reasonable considering she couldn’t even get halfway through hers.
As for popularity? Maybe among the 5 people working behind the counter (seriously- 5 people yet no one realized they should brew a fresh pot? and not sell dregs to a customer??)
Get your customer - actually- get all of your service together.
Have a fantastic day at your gross AND...
Read moreUpdate: Came back on a weekday and had a pleasant brunch at the cafe. My husband was very happy with Tuscan and food was served immediately. I again had the green Benedict. No traffic and parking was easy. Coffee was okay .
Initial review: We came on a Saturday to try this place for breakfast and to check what the hype is all about. It is Cute and the lay out design is what you can expect from a typical Korean upbeat cafe .
Took 25 minutes to get our food but we are not in a rush so no big deal. Regular drip coffee was good but my iced Americano was weak so next time I will try their cold brew instead.
Now onto the food, their popular green Benedict was spot on.... delicious just like what other reviewers are raving about. For the avocado toast though, it was lacking avocado and too much arugula. We also had their ebelskievers with spiced pineapple filling ( seems like a Dunkin munchkin for us with thick dough ) so that's just okay and will not repeat order for next time.
We like the ambiance. It's a fun place and you don't feel compelled to rush in finishing your meal . You seat yourself and order at the counter. Overall we had a nice time. Staff...
