Love trying new places within my Queens county when looking for dinner.

Seen this place before since I ate next door.

The place as you walk in gives you a very cool relaxed feeling with wood tables black paint on the walls and beautiful floor.

I ordered a bowl and it’s basically a bowl similar to Chipotle but with a twist, they offer plantains. Everything was really good and fresh!!! I ordered brown rice, shredded beef, corn, cheese, cilantro, lettuce pico de gallo and topped it off with chipotle sauce. It was excellent taste about the only thing I can say is the beef was a tad too salty. My wife had the pulled pork and that was perfect. Next time I will order the pulled pork.

I really wanted to like this place, but the food was not good. The shredded chicken didn't have much flavor and the vegan cachapa had no flavor. They both were very dry. The fries were cold and we ate the food right there. The yuca fries were good. Its clear no real effort or care goes into making this food. I thought it would be a step up from chain fast food considering its more money but it wasn't. There were 4 workers there and they were all young kids. You need an adult to make sure young kids don't do what young kids do without adult supervision. 2 of the workers were sitting on the floor by the cooking area eating a pizza. We ordered to go and our destination was only 5 minutes away but our food was all cold. The fries were cold, the arepas, the burger. We’re extremely disappointed to have had a bad experience with the food but here’s some other issues: The arepa was too thick. There’s too much batter and the meat and cheese were like a ball. The burger was extremely salty, it was great texture and well cooked but the salt factor was too much. The fries were good but just cold! We aren’t here to tear anyone down but rather offer constructive criticism. Everyone has their own experiences. The service was nevertheless very friendly and you can tell the staff work well...
