Lucky Dhaba babyyyy! If you're looking for family-owned, in-house & made fresh daily, authentic & delicious vegetarian Indian food then this is the place for YOU! Honestly, even if it isn't your normal go-to, I promise you should venture outside of your comfort zone and give it a try. As soon as I stepped in I was transported to a golden palace. The place is adorned with gold and bling, the chandelier caught my eye immediately! It's decorated with cultural trinkets and I truly felt transported a bit, it was simply beautiful and I had a strong feeling that whatever I was about to eat was going to be fire. I'm familiar with Indian cuisine and am a huge fan, but vegetarian?! I'm a strong carnivore but was excited to exit my norm and try something new. Why not right? AND BABY THEY DIDN'T DISAPPOINT! When feeling adventerous, and hungry, the best thing to do is have them bring out a few different standouts so you can really get a diverse range of offerings. And I'm so glad I did. Now, we're here for the food of course: Gobi Chilli -- Fried cauliflower in a sticky mild spicy chili sauce. Crispy on the outside, soft & tender on the inside, and absolutely addictive. I had to stop myself from licking the plate. Masala Fries -- Crispy, golden, and served with a tamarind sauce and a mint chutney that both deserve their own fan clubs. I need bottles of each in my house yesterday. Tandoori Mix Grill -- This one threw me. It's their version made with cottage cheese--and let me be clear, I don't even like cottage cheese. But somehow, this was smoky, juicy, and downright good. I was shocked and impressed. Shahi Paneer -- A curry where paneer is cooked in a creamy sauce made with onions, yogurt, nut and seeds. Rich, flavorful, and comforting. It gave "I've been simmering all day just waiting for you." Amritsari Kulcha -- Buttery, crispy, garlicky, and elite. Dipped in the chickpeas and yogurt? That bite was a moment. And the Vanilla Bubble Tea? I don't know what kind of magic was in there, but it tasted like a milkshake and might honestly be the best one I've ever had. See what happens when you venture out?! The staff was kind and the food came out hot and fast. Everything looked good, smelled good, and most importantly--tasted good. Queens got another winner on its hands. I'll be back. Probably soon.

Firstly, the attached photos are of the most current take-out food menu as of 02Jun2024. Tried this place as take-out for the first time today and everything was delicious!!! We ordered from almost 5 different sections of the take-out menu to test and trial a variety of foods as first time customers and were extremely pleased with the unique, delicious and fresh flavors of each food item at a very affordable price. The front cashier service is excellent and the atmosphere is newly updated, clean and welcoming for dine-in.

This was my first time really trying authentic Indian food and I absolutely loved it. Everything here was fresh and the quality was on point. We had the mango lassi, the tandoori paneer tikka, samosas and the baingan bharta …. All delicious especially the tandoori paneer tikka ! We visited the south ozone park location which was more of a takeout kind of set up so the seating was limited but that doesn’t take away from the food though. Service was super friendly ! Cannot wait to return & try more dishes from here 🥰

Been Seeing The New Place Open And Decided To Try Them Out...Yes It's The VERY Same People That Was Literally Around The Corner In The Take Out Spot

NOW They Have A Proper Sit Down Restaurant ❤️

Restaurant: Lucky Dhaba Location: 117-20 Rockaway Blvd, NY, 11420 Phone: 718-269-7338

As ALWAYS My Reviews Are 100% FREE And I PAY FOR EVERYTHING MYSELF

Soooo You're Getting A HONEST And Non Bias Review NOT Bought Or Paid For LOL

Ok To The Review... I Tried The Original Place That Was Around The Corner Last Year But Was The Burger And That Was It.

I Saw They Moved And Opened This Spot With Seats And Dine In

The Place Is VERY Clean, No Bad Odors Or Smells, Tables And Chairs Are Well Taken Care Of, The Staff Members Are Very Welcoming And Although There Is A Slight Language Barrier They Can Still Manage To Describe The Dishes...The Menu Is Pretty Extensive But Is Well Written And Describes Each Dish ❤️

Appetizers Starts At $1.50 To $14 Main Starts At $5 To $14 Again The Menu Is Pretty Large And Was Impressed That Nothing Is Over $14

What I Had Today

Drink: Tea Masala Chai This Was Pretty Standard Gets A 5 Out Of 10

Appetizer: vegetable Spring Roll

Deep Fried And Crispy...Came With A Mint Herb Chutney And Another Sweet Tangy Sauce That Tasted Like Tamarind 👌

This Was Pretty Standard And Gets A 6-7 Out Of 10

Still Delicious And Worth It ❤️

ALSO Got Another Item For A Appetizer But Was Under The "Bread Selection"......THIS Dish Right Here Was A Super Star LOL

Dish: Chili Cheese Naan 👌👌👌 Oven Baked Flatbread Topped With Lots Of Chilies And Melted Cheese It's Like Pizza Minus The Sauce

This Dish Gets A Solid 8 Out Of 10 🔥🔥🔥

Every Single Time I Walk Past I See Folks Eating In This Large Platter With Multiple Dishes...Come To Find Out It's A Lunch Special They Have Called "Lucky Special - Lunch Thali

Main: "Lucky's Special - Lunch Thali

Dishes: This Combination Platter Was Absolutely Delicious And Came With 3 Buttered Rotis, Rice, Salad, A Curried Baigan/Eggplant Dish With Potatoes, A Curried Paneer Dish And Yogurt Sauce All For $7.99 👌👌👌

I Give This Special A Solid 9 Out Of 10...👌👌👌👌

I Believe It's Always These Dishes And Does Not Change But Not 100%...I Reconfirm Next Time

So Here's The Deal They Are 100% Vegetarian....YESSssss Someone Got Chef Steve The Meat Mouth To Actually Sit Down And Enjoy A Full Vegetarian Meal 😁....I Was Extremely Impressed, Stuffed And Satisfied ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Like I Said The Menu Is Pretty Big...I Can See Myself Coming Here Pretty Often And Just Trying A New Dish Every Time ❤️

They Have Lots Of Drinks And Desserts As Well ❤️

Question Is Will I Return???....It's DEFINITELY A...

I gave 4 star for owner and resturant he build i love this resturant from the time it opened i am regular customer as I am vegetarian and indian I dont miss my mom's food when I eat here but 1 star I cut is because everytime they mess up the order I order only one item regular basis they never maintain taste its like I forcefully make them made it I coudnt eat after getting home that was take out even when we dine in always they have order messed up there is communication gap between chef and front desk i guess. They made extreme spicy tomatoes were not cooked but I coudnt eat one bite i always tell them spicy for me but this time it's like I coudnt eat 1 single bite next day I was fasting so I had to eat bfr midnight this is not acceptable I respect this resturant that's why I am giving 4 here as I am not bad person for service and food I would give 1 though. Please maintain taste like the way we order first time dont blame on chef everytime we tell counter person they blame on chef that chef changed sorry that's not my problem everytime you can't make mistake with order. And please get printer inside the kitchen so chef or scout boy can...
