have been going here for years. At times even left money in the tip jar for the workers. I came in tonight to buy ice cream for my family. The girl at the counter asked me if it was cash or credit. Apparently there is an extra charge to use a credit card which is illegal in NYS.
Anyway, I was literally 4 pennies short and the girl was giving me a hard time. I had to borrow a dollar from someone to cover the 4 pennies.
Amazing!
Going here for nearly 20 years, the $$$ that have accumulated of patronage I give this place and to be treated with such disrespect. In this era on the verge of a recession and in the middle of inflation, you would think a business would appreciate their customers better. I would never short change anyone and always very generous and the next time I would have came, probably put my change in the tip jar.
Not for nothing, the girl even made a mistake with my order, putting vanilla ice cream in my cup instead of the strawberry that I asked for. But not to waste the ice cream which certainly cost more than 4 pennies, I took it anyway because I respect that things cost money and not to waste.
I have no plans of going back there again. Over the years, I let a lot go in bad service there but this was the straw that broke the camels' back.
The owner responds back that there are rules and if the manager was there it could have been voided. First, my name is John not Jhon. Second, the owner was there and I even asked for them to check with him and...
Read moreI walked into the store about 30 minutes before they were going to close, and asked for a Mint Chocolate Chip Dasher. The guy who worked there told me they were out of that flavor. I looked in the case, saw the tub, and asked the guy, "isn't that mint chocolate chip?" He just repeated himself that they were out of the flavor until tomorrow. I asked him again if that was the flavor I wanted, staring at ice cream in the tub, and again he said they were out. He refused to acknowledge that they were indeed NOT out of the flavor, even after we went 15 rounds back and forth of me pointing to the tub with ice cream still left inside it. At some point he just removed the tub from the case and took it with him. I've never been so gas lit in a real life situation, I thought I was being filmed for some sick TV gag... I just left, assuming the guy had lost his mind or just didn't want to work so close to the end of his shift. Obviously I'll never be back to that location, and I recommend nobody else even tries if you don't want to fight for an ice cream sundae, especially not when there's a Baskin Robin's 2 minutes down...
Read more7-27-22 Edited review.I understand working with the public is difficult and everyone has a bad day.
The attention to detail at this location has been lost. The current employees do not perform their task with any sense of satisfaction to the customer. They put the toppings on carelessly many a times we have to ask them to please put on a sufficient amount of toppings and I'm just talking about nuts or crunch. The last three visits have been unsatisfactory.
Original review: We have gone to this location many times on Wednesdays for the two for one Sundae special. The service is usually good even if the Sunday making is not that great. However on this occasion Jose took care of my order. I could see how he actually cared about the way he prepared the order. The best way to describe it was that they actually looked like the pictures you see in the advertisements. Also Jose's manner was so pleasing during this day before thanksgiving, he took his time, made sure that he understood the order and the toppings. I know in the world we live in everybody is quick to complain, I ask that you please...
