Carvel — Restaurant in New York

I came in here Sat. for a medium cup. I was offered soft serve when I literally stated I wanted scoop ice cream and had to say the flavor three times. I was the only guest at this point. I then get asked if I want toppings I said oh sure. While I’m trying to decide the young lady makes a comment and the other girl laughing. As I’m trying to decide she’s rolling her eyes with my ice cream in hand. I finally say almonds and get told there was no almonds. I tell the girl you literally have it on signage. I couldn’t see the toppings avaliable with all the equipment on top of it. That’s not supposed to be. Put scoopers and etc.. away not on top of the topping areas. Maybe they have new owners and if so it shows in the worst way! My family and I have been coming here since the early 2000s and never had any problems until recently. Our last two times here, a couple of weeks ago and last night, we’re just horrible. The Asian girl behind the counter was rude with a nasty attitude and completely inexperienced. In addition to the attitude, our orders were so rushed and sloppy and not to mention she really gave us the smallest portions possible. Our cups barely had enough ice cream to fill them and the toppings which we paid extra for were almost non existent. Not to mention, overall everything here is grossly overpriced. I recently visited the Carvel on Bath Avenue looking forward to enjoying a classic cone, but I was very disappointed with the experience. After paying, I received my cone and immediately noticed that the soft serve was a strange beige color instead of the usual milk white I’ve come to expect from Carvel. I asked about it, but there wasn’t much explanation.

When I tasted it, the flavor was off — it didn’t taste anything like the Carvel I remember from the past. The quality and flavor just weren’t there.
