Cassette — Restaurant in New York

I really loved this bar, but different staff renders different experiences I guess.

Earlier this week, my friends and I visited and the guy behind the bar was really friendly, served us with a smile and made us some great drinks!

Because we had such a great time, we decided to return yesterday to repeat the pleasant experience. And although we did again have great night again with some fantastic drinks, one of the waitresses that was serving last night, closed my tab and preselected a 25% tip 🫤 this is unacceptable!

Love the cocktails, but there is a clear difference in servers. We had a gentleman earlier in the day who was very personable, friendly and made killer drinks. We were then served by a female who was not so friendly and (possibly) selected a 25% tip upfront on the tablet without letting the customer decide a tip amount at first. As a person who has worked in customer service and would have given the 25% anyway (if the tips are pooled), I still think it’s a bit presumptuous to select the tip amount for someone. i’m immunocompromised and frequented sundown because they were one of the few bars in the neighborhood that kept their heated outdoor seating. as of this week, it’s been totally dismantled.
