China tastes美味 — Restaurant in New York

2.5 STARS: I love Chinese food, and even though I've had better tasting Chinese food, this place is good- especially for this area. My only issue with the food is that they put carrots and peas in the fried rice, but you can just ask them not to. My main issue with this place is the service. They're sort of grimey. For instance, the first time I ordered delivery, I didn't have enough money to tip- so the delivery guy didn't want to give me my food. As I said- I love Chinese food so they'd be getting a lot of my service anyway. I called the front guy and he said that they had a "delivery charge"- EVEN THOUGH I had just walked into the restaurant the day before to get the menu, and guess what? The menu doesn't say ANYTHING about a delivery charge, just the minimum amount required for delivery. I told him to put that note on the next set of menus and took my food inside. Another time I call for delivery, I give the guy the money and take my food. He says, "No tip?" Now, as far as I know, the tip is the delivery charge. Does he expect a larger tip from someone ordering for 1, that doesn't live too far from the restaurant? If its not the same, then oh well- he's getting paid and I'm not. I just called for delivery, and when I told the guy where I live his voice went flat- like he wanted to hang up and not deliver, but he couldn't. Lastly, they don't seem to like giving away the free sodas- if you forget to mention it, apparently they do too. I saw them try it with a woman, then they tried it with me. No, no, no.

Good customer service but the food is mediocre, ordered pork fried rice ( there was barely any pork in the rice)and spare rib tips and it tastes bland and unseasoned... They need to figure out their flavors and learn how to cook proper Chinese food.... out of 100 i would give them a 15 ..
