BKLYN BLEND — Restaurant in New York

I was working in the neighborhood, and this is a great little spot I happened upon. They are POPULAR. I ordered the Montague mushroom sandwich. At first, I was put off, because they cook the mushrooms in a balsamic glaze of sorts, and I'm not a fan of sweetness in my food. But once I got a bite of the avocado, it reduced the sweetness and it was awesome. I also got the Canarsie Cranberry smoothie that was absolutely amazing. (That I KNEW would be sweet, and it wasn't disappointing, very good). I reduced one star for the following: update the menu to let people know you're using a balsamic reduction on this sandwich. And also, the wait time was excessive, nearly a half hour for a single sandwich. THAT SAID; I noticed they get a lot of online orders, and they cook upon order. So I believe my wait time was due to orders ahead of me. So, I'll cut them some slack and just give the advice that if you want lunch, call the order ahead so it'll be ready close to the time you're ready to take your lunch break. I had to gobble it down to make my lunch limit. Overall, very good. Oh side note, a lunch with a beverage will take you over the $20 mark. So this isn't a fast food spot with fast food prices. First want to say that i have been coming to brooklyn Blend since they first day they opened , vlog and post about this place so much i’m sure i am the reason half of brooklyn is coming here lol but seriously loved loved loved this place and when i moved from brooklyn i would still come and buy several smoothies at a time. Wish I could have given them a higher rating and bought more stuff but I was put off by the initial service greeting. I walked through the door an in front of you is the order counter. 2 employees were at the register figuring something out and for a minute and a half as I I stood in front of them, they never so much as looked up at me, not a look, smile or word of acknowledgment. Then finally the man looked up at me and said yes as if he was slightly annoyed to have to take my order. Hesitantly I order a pumpkin patty as this seemed to be the best plant based options available in the neighborhood. I would have ordered 2 juices and another patty but was turned off by the service and to witness as I am paying, a couple that doesn’t look like me walk in to a much more pleasant greeting.
