Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in New York

From a former employee of Chipotle And as a customer, coming in here was a series of dissapointments and annoyances. Especially because once you work at Chipotle you know how it all works and customer service is engrained in you as top priority. I came today to order at around 9:25. And through waiting etc got my meal And cash charged me was at 9:44 pm. And yes that is the time on my receipt. There was no white rice when I asked for it in my bowl. I was told in ten mins it would be available I said I would wait. That's not a problem for me. Food runs out sometimes that's fine. The man who helped me went off the line to go do other things and a girl stayed there Leaning on the counter in the back when another kid joined her and they started having a conversation. I sat down to wait. Then when the grill person prepares the rice and puts it in the front. The guy who was having a conversation takes the rice and just holds it there. Doesn't even switch it out until he is done with his conversation. literally holding the rice on the counter. And even when he puts it in he still continues talking to the girl. And her as well. Takes two to tango. Meanwhile I'm staring at them both waiting to be told you can order now or whatever some sort of sign that shows you are aware you have waiting customers. No communication On her part that I was waiting as well since he wasn't the person on tortilla when I got there. No concern for how long your customers have been waiting. So I got up annoyed when he finally decided to put the rice into the heating table so I can finally get my food and annoyingly said yea i'd like a bowl with white rice.. He looked at me like I overstepped then asked the girl if the other couple had wanted white rice too.. Under his breath... So There was a couple who had been sitting there since I walked into the store and apparently they had been waiting for the white rice as well. Longer than I had to wait. So now that I shot up and asked for my meal since they didn't care for wasting anyone's time I'm somehow looked at strangely. Now they care someone was waiting for their food?. Then I get my meal and the cashier wasn't there. Understood. She was cleaning the bathroom. I worked night shift, I know how it works. So call for cash then. Nothing. They didn't call. No one cared. And again I waited.. Until a tall guy from the back came I'm assuming maybe the manager and asked the girl on line where was cash. And looked around the corner. Again not calling out to her. And instead did cash for her nonchalantly. I'm just curious to know if this location has any concern over customer service at all? or just know how Chipotle is supposed to work in general. I think it bothers me even more since I used to work at Chipotle and loved the culture and truly only left because of school. Did I mention when I first got there I asked if I could taste the new Carne asada that was being promoted and was told no. I couldn't taste it? I'm confused. Are Manhattan Chipotle restaurants run differently than the ones in Queens? Because in my old location union Sq north. None of this was allowed to happen. And if a customer asked to taste a new meat. Because we were trying to promote it. We let them taste it. It's 9 something you close at 10. I'm sure because it's red meat its going to be thrown away and noted in the waste chart. What is the serious harm in letting me try A small piece of your new meat? The only one who greeted me nicely was the first initial guy on tortilla who then left to do other things. Everyone else Just kinda sucked the life right out of me. The vibe was so annoying to me that I didn't even want to eat there. I took my food and left. Here's to hoping my next visit won't be as annoying as I'd like to keep coming to the Chipotle that's...

JASMIN did not pack my drink on 4/4 and i did not notice until i got home. this is the second time she has done this. i spent $31 during my purchase. I called a few times and no one picked up and I even reached out to customer service twice and received no help. I was finally able to get in contact with the store the next day 4/5 and told them the situation. I only had a picture of the full receipt as I was not home and was told by Jasmin herself that they can’t honor THEIR mistake without a receipt. I was then transferred to NOAH the store manager. He lacks basic communication skills and it’s insane to me how he even has that position. He laughed multiple times on the phone, told me it’s “policy” that he needs a physical receipt to honor the mistake HIS employee made. After 2 minutes of him being inconsiderate, he hung up on me.

I agree that mistakes happen but as I mentioned before this is the second time. Why would I try to scam for a $4 drink? The first time it happened they did not even ask for the receipt just gave me the drink I paid for that THEY forgot to pack without any issue. Call me a karen but I work hard for my money and I deserve to get what I paid for.

Get new staff please if they can’t handle customer service and basic skills such as...

I’ve always enjoyed Chipotle, but unfortunately, this visit fell far below expectations.

The team member who assisted us seemed disengaged, speaking very softly and coming across as tired or unwell. We initially ordered burritos, but when the tortillas broke, we asked for bowls instead. The portions, however, were noticeably smaller than what we usually receive. The barbacoa was running out, and instead of refilling it, the employee scraped the last remnants and added mostly juice to the bowl.

By the time we finished selecting our toppings, the bowls were barely half full, which was very disappointing. Additionally, there were no napkins or utensils available, and we had to request for them to be refilled, adding to the inconvenience.

I wanted to bring this to your attention as I believe consistent quality and service are key to the great experience Chipotle is known for. I’d appreciate it if you could look into this matter and ensure...
